Grew up… in Quahog, R.I. Peter comes from a long and colorful line of Griffins; his oldest known relative was Moses Griffin, the man who guided the Jews out of Egypt. He also claims to be related to Peter Hitler, Adolf’s wacky brother.

Living… an all-American life in his hometown of Quahog. Peter lives with his wife Lois, their three children (Meg, Chris and Stewie) and the family’s hyper-intelligent talking dog, Brian. Life should be simple for Peter, but he keeps getting into trouble due to his own stupidity and ignorance. “Well, excuse me for being retarded,” he says. “My whole world is turned upside down. Black is east, up is white…”

Profession… shipping manager for Pawtucket Patriot brewery. Peter can barely be trusted around the vast quantities of beer that he encounters every day. He loves a drink, and he’s never afraid to admit it. “Come on,” he says to his buddies, “let’s go drink until we can’t feel feelings anymore.”

Interests… beer, TV, and not much else. 

Relationship Status… married with children. Peter is lucky to have a patient wife like Lois -- especially since he often puts his family in physical and financial danger.

Challenge… his own imbecility. Peter is so uneducated and unintelligent that it’s fair to call him mentally challenged. One example of this is when he gazed at cereal and yelled, “Oh my God, Brian. There’s a message in my Alpha-Bits. It says ‘Oooooooo.’” Peter was eating Cheerios at the time.

Personality… bumbling and uncouth, but generally well-intentioned. Peter does have a nasty streak every now and then; for instance he often makes fun of his awkward daughter, Meg, along with everyone else. But most often the joke is on Peter, even when he thinks it’s not: “Now, I may be an idiot. But there is one thing I am not, sir, and that, sir, is an idiot.”
