Early Life
' Peter Benjamin Parker was born in New York City, New York on August 27, 1993, where he was raised until the age of 6 when his parents were killed in an airplane crash overseas. He then went to live with his uncle and aunt Ben and May Parker, in Forest Hills, New York. Parker was extremely bright and became a high honors student at Midtown High School. Parker's shyness and academic interest often made him a social outcast.
Season 1
"I'm done. Done accepting things the way we are. I swear to you... from now on... whenever I'm around, wherever I am... ...No one dies!" ―Peter Parker[src]At At the beginning of his senior year in high school, Peter attended a public exhibition demonstrating the safe handling of nuclear laboratory waste materials sponsored by the General Techtronics Corporation. During the tour, Peter was bitten by a spider that had been irradiated by a particle accelerator used in the demonstration. Making his way home afterward, Peter discovered he had somehow gained incredible strength, agility, and the ability to cling to walls; spider-like traits that he immediately associated with the spider bite.
Encountering an ad offering a cash prize for staying in the ring for 3 minutes with a professional wrestler, Peter decided this would be a good way to test his powers. Wearing a mask to avoid potential embarrassment, Peter easily defeated his opponent. His performance was observed by a TV producer, who convinced him to go on television with his 'act'. Peter Designed a costume and called himself Spider-Man, becoming an immediate sensation.
Following his first TV appearance, Peter failed to act to stop an escaping thief, claiming that it was not his responsibility. Peter forgot the incident as his fame rose, but one night he returned home to find his Uncle Ben had been murdered. Learning the police had the burglar responsible holed up in a warehouse, Peter easily captured him only to discover it was the same thief he had allowed to escape earlier. Filled with remorse, he realized that with power comes responsibility, and thus began the crime-fighting career of the Amazing Spider-Man.
Peter began to use his powers to fight crime, attempting to join the Fantastic Four in their formative stages, but was dismissed. As a solo hero, Parker took pictures of his fights as Spider-Man using an automatic camera and then sold the pictures to The Daily Bugle. Spider-Man rapidly became one of the most well-known citizens in New York City, although Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson soon branded him a "menace". Parker's main concern was for his Aunt May, who he feared would have a heart attack if she ever found out about his crime-fighting identity.

Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Spider Physiology: Spider-Man possesses the proportionate powers of a spider, granted to him from an irradiated Common House Spider (Parasteatoda tepidarium) which bit Peter Parker that was already mutated from prior exposure to certain frequencies of radiation and received a final, lethal dose during Parker's attendance of the exhibition. The radioactive, complex mutagenic enzymes in the spider's blood that were transferred at the bite triggered numerous changes within Parker, granting him superhuman strength, leaping, jumping, senses, stamina, durability, speed, agility, reflexes, flexibility, equilibrium, etc, an accelerated metabolism, a regenerative healing factor, and an enhanced immune system, the ability to cause parts of his body to stick to any surface, no matter how rough or slippery and even a supernatural premonition "danger" sense that alerts him to and makes him aware of any danger, and now even organic webbing generation.
- Spider-Sense: Spider-Man possesses an extrasensory "danger" or "spider" sense which warns him of any form of danger by the manifestation of a tingling or buzzing sensation in the base of his skull, and links with his superhuman kinesthetics, enabling him to evade most any injuries unless he cognitively overrides his automatic high-speed reflexes. The precise nature of this sense is unknown. It appears to be a simultaneous clairvoyant response to a wide variety of phenomena (everything from falling safes to speeding bullets to thrown punches to knives to lasers to lightning to fast motions), which has given several hundredths of a second warning, which is sufficient time for his reflexes to allow him to avoid injury. The sense also can create a general response on the order of several hours: he cannot discern the nature of the threat by the sensation. He can, however, discern the severity of the danger by the strength of his response to it. Spider-Man's spider-sense is directional and can guide him to or away from hidden or disguised weapons and enemies. Sudden and extreme threats can cause his spider-sense to react with painful intensity. The spider-sense gives him psychological awareness of his entire surroundings, making any form of sneak and surprise attacks useless against him, The spider-sense also allows Spider-Man to determine the source of any incoming attacks, which gives him an advantage against enemies who are all over the place like the Spot, Spider-Man can also sense and dodge attacks directed randomly or by an artificial intelligence. Using his spider-sense to time his enhanced reflexes, Spider-Man can casually dodge attacks up to and including automatic-weapons fire, even at point-blank range and mid-air. His spider-sense is sufficiently well-linked to his reflexes to the point that a threat can trigger them even when Spider-Man is asleep or stunned, where a narcotic gas was released by the Daniel Berkhart Mysterio caused him to lose his balance and fall from a building, though barely conscious, a combination of spider-sense and reflex caused his arm to seize a fire-escape ladder, saving his life. His spider sense has helped him preserve his secret identity since it alerts him to observers or cameras when changing into or out of his costume. The spider-sense does not react to those who Peter does not consider to be a threat, such as Aunt May, Contrary to this, his spider-sense has warned him of people close to him when he does not wish to be seen, such as when he's partly in costume, Spider-Man can ignore his spider-sense, and distraction or fatigue diminishes its effectiveness and force unawareness. Spider-Man's fighting style incorporates the advantage that his "spider-sense" provides him. His body begins to produce more adrenaline after the sense is triggered, an extension of the "fight or flight syndrome". Even when he does not have the use of his eyes Spider-Man can still similarly use his Spider-Sense to Daredevil's Radar Sense to help him see by sensing the direction where the danger is coming from by listening to the loudest sound around him. This was first used after Spider-Man was temporarily blinded by a device, and used a second time when blinded by a flash bomb, Spider-Man's spider-sense has proved to be stronger, more effective, and more powerful than Daredevil's radar sense because it isn't reliant on sound or anything else, During a battle with a hitman called the Headhunter, Spider-Man was not only blinded by fire but also deafened by deafening walls and his spider-sense worked as not only another set of eyes but another set of ears and helped him defeat the Headhunter, this was used again during a battle with Daredevil when they were surrounded by multiple car noises which scrambled Matt Murdock's radar sense while Peter's spider-sense worked with no problem, leaving Murdock vulnerable. Spider-Man's spider-sense can be used to detect radio frequencies, during Spider-Man's first encounter with the Chameleon, the villain used a certain radio frequency to send a message to Spider-Man via his spider-sense, Spider-Man's exceptional skill is such that he had designed spider-tracers that broadcast any signal detectable by his spider-sense. Spider-Man's spider-sense evolved through experience where he can now recognize sources of danger. This allows him to determine whether the danger is posed by a familiar source (such as an attack by a familiar foe or is a new threat). Spider-Man's spider-sense can be used to psychologically see his surrounding environment, even when blinded or in extremely dark conditions, allowing him to navigate without worry or fear. Even under normal conditions, his spider sense also helps him navigate darkened rooms, instinctively avoiding obstacles or hazards, or potentially noisy or unstable floorboards, walls or ceilings that may betray his presence. With his spider-sense, Spider-Man can ascertain non-threatening information, such as detecting the concealed presence of loved ones, even sensing how many fingers Mary Jane is holding up, As a result of Venom's symbiote bonding with Spider-Man, it and it's offspring do not trigger the spider-sense, a trait that always had been attributed to symbiotes in general.
- Sense Focusing: By ignoring all of his other senses, Spider-Man can focus his Spider-Sense to locate specific targets.
- Hyper-Sense: Spider-Man focuses on his Spider-Sense to access Hyper-Sense, which allows him to move so fast that he can run through security lasers unharmed and easily dodge attacks that he couldn't otherwise.
- Sense Focusing: By ignoring all of his other senses, Spider-Man can focus his Spider-Sense to locate specific targets.
- Wall-Crawling: Spider-Man's exposure to the mutated spider venom induced a mutagenic, cerebellum-wide alteration of his engrams resulting in the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to Spider-Man's body (especially concentrated in his hands and feet) and other objects, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. Limits to this ability seem to be psychosomatic, and the full nature of this ability has yet to be established. through experience, Spider-Man has discovered that his adhesive ability is now found throughout his entire body, including his face (which he can utilize to prevent unpermitted mask removal), and back (which he can use to carry heavy objects on his back while web-slinging).
- Superhuman Senses: Spider-Man's senses are heightened to superhuman levels, specifically his eyesight as he no longer needs his glasses after the spider's bite, Spider-Man's eyesight has been enhanced to superhuman levels (regenerated by his regenerative healing capabilities) leading him to relinquish the use of the spectacles a long time ago. His field of eyesight has been augmented with impossible clarity and infallible detail enabling him to effortlessly exploit the full extent of his webs to be a proficient marksman as well as notice things people fail to observe, Peter can hear any danger, via spider-sense while he hears that it may also warn him of any danger. Spider-Man's senses can almost freeze time around him, for him, the seconds of the moments are frozen in time. His Spider-Sense perceives the world as paused frames on a VOR, where the action slows down. These moments, Spider-Man sometimes feels like hours, although they are moments, milliseconds, he can even perceive the events around him, such as the movement of a muscle, a breath of air when an object is moved the sound or sight (moving faster than the sound of any gun instantly) when someone pulls the trigger slightly, he can almost feel the bullet settle into the chamber. This shows Peter's senses and physical abilities work at incredible speed levels.
- Accelerated Perception: Spider-Man can see and hear anyone and anything at an accelerated rate. Spider-Man can see and hear things that travel at the speed of light or faster and react to it before it could even touch him.
- Night Vision: Due to his superhuman senses, Spider-Man can see in any form of darkness, After Peter discovered this power, he no longer needed his Spider-Signal anymore.
- Superhuman Strength: Possessing the proportionate strength of a spider, Spider-Man possesses superhuman strength enabling him to press lift approximately hundreds of tons or more when under extreme stress. He was shown to easily swing a 3-ton wrecking ball using chains. Spider-Man's physical strength is sufficient to lift and throw objects as heavy as a train car, force metal poles into solid concrete, lift and throw a large falling celling and break brick walls with ease, and normal humans flying with a single punch or kick. He must also pull his punches and kicks unless fighting someone of similar or greater physical durability. Otherwise, his blows would prove fatal to a normal human being. He has demonstrated that he is strong enough to knock out people with normal durability with as little as a tap to the head. He was able to physically overpower The Scorpion and The Rhino (despite their superior strength), able to physically hurt Venom and Carnage (despite their superior durability), punch and kick through the Lizard's thick hard scaly skin, and even lifted tanks, supported fallen multistory buildings, and freed himself from under tons of rubble, and can swing at high velocities and speed on a rope or web and shattered steel chains just by flexing his muscles, Spider-Man's physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound. Spider-Man demonstrated this when he leaped over 30 feet vertically into the air when he first leaped out of the way of an oncoming car; it should also be noted that when he first discovered his powers as a teenager, they hadn't developed to that of his prime.
- Superhuman Jumping and Leaping: As a result of the spider's bite, Spider-Man can jump and leap far much higher and further than normal humans, easily capable of jumping and leaping to a height of several stories in a single bound, easily capable of jumping and leaping from one building over a street to the next.
- Superhuman Speed: Possessing the proportionate speed of a spider, Spider-Man is capable of running, moving, reacting, jumping and climbing at speeds far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Spider-Man has shown to be fast enough to catch up to an accelerating car while on foot but prefers to travel by web-swinging. His speed also helps him in both web-shooting and hand-to-hand combat, Spider-Man has speed-blitzed many foes, including those with superhuman speed, agility and reflexes, moving so fast that he leaves blurring after images, he also moves faster than the speed of machine-gun fire, moving faster than the eye can follow, appearing, disappearing and reappearing as a blur, and moved so fast that Daredevil could barely register him, and unable to react to a punch that he knew Spider-Man was going to land and even Spider-Man has caught Quicksilver while the speedster was in motion, Spider-Man can also move faster than bullets even when they have already been fired, displaying his incredible speed and reflexes. Spider-Man is even able to intercept them with his webbing. Spidey is also able to dodge bullets and lightning, even at point-blank range and mid-air. Many may not know, but Spider-Man can run at superhuman speeds. He was able to outrun Kraven and his cheetahs, on more than one occasion he has shown that he can go over 70 miles per hour, and his speed to run according to his superhuman class is around 200 miles per hour, that is, around more than 160 km./h, Olympic athletes only 22 mph. This ability may not be seen much of him because he generally prefers to jump or swing.
- Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Man's advanced musculature produces fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much more extended periods before fatigue begins to impair him. At his peak, Spider-Man can physically exert himself at his peak capacity for several hours before the build-up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him. Several accounts depict Spider-Man as able to hold his breath for eight minutes or more.
- Superhuman Durability: Spider-Man's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is more resistant to impacts and trauma than anything else. Although he is not invulnerable. While the composition of Spider-Man's skeleton, inter-connected tissues, and nervous system are tougher than a normal human. he can still be injured in ways comparable to any normal human. For example, He can be injured by bullets or knives composed of conventional material and from impacts of sufficient force. However, if injured, his body is capable of rapidly repairing itself faster than any ordinary human is capable of, A doctor told Spider-Man that it would be impossible for a normal human being to survive the punishment he endured. He can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by an opponent with superhuman strength, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort. in the past, he has survived multiple blows from the likes of the Hulk, and his arm was strong enough to block Quicksilver while the speedster was in motion. Spider-Man's body is durable to the point where tensing his super-strong muscles while being punched in the torso by a heavyweight-trained boxer caused the attacker's wrists to break, also, he has stated that he must roll with punches thrown by people without similar strength or durability to avoid breaking their wrists.
- Superhuman Agility: Possessing the proportionate agility of a spider, Spider-Man's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. He is 25 times more agile than that of any normal human being, Spider-Man is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength. He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. He can also perform any complicated sequence of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. He can easily match or top any Olympic record in gymnastics apparatus such as flying rings, climbing ropes, horizontal bars, and trampolines, and even surpass the likes of Daredevil, The Punisher, and Captain America. He can perform acrobatic and gymnastic moves, such as swinging from webbing around New York, Spider-Man is also amazingly adaptive at dodging projectile attacks, even bullets fired from multiple shooters at once. Even dodging a bullet fired from a hunting rifle at point blank range.
- Superhuman Mobility: Spider-Man's mobility is similarly enhanced and is currently about 200 times far greater than a normal human, Due to his superhuman speed and agility, his movements are 79 to 89 times surpass that of any normal human.
- Superhuman Dexterity: Spider-Man's dexterity is 300 times far greater that of any normal human, Spider-Man gets better at controlling his limbs, muscles, and digits than that of any normal human being.
- Superhuman Athleticism: Spider-Man's athleticism is greater than that of any normal human and any normal acrobatics because his strength, speed, agility, stamina, endurance, balance, dexterity, reflexes, etc, are pushed behind the natural physical limits of any normal human being and normal acrobatics as well and even the likes of Daredevil, The Punisher and Captain America are unable to match or top Spider-Man at terms of agility and athleticism whatsoever.
- Superhuman Flexibility: Spider-Man's flexibility is similarly enhanced and is currently about 100 times far greater than a normal human, due to his incredible strength and flexibility, Spider-Man is extremely acrobatic and can perform high jumps, high leaps, somersaults, flips, etc. He is so flexible, to the point that he does not need to exercise or train his body in anyway.
- Superhuman Equilibrium: Spider-Man possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow. He has developed a unique fighting style that made full use of his agility, strength, and equilibrium.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Man's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about 40 times greater than those of an ordinary human by about the factor of 40. His practical reaction time is 40 dozen times that of any normal human, in combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge or counter almost any attack, including gunfire, even at point-blank range and mid-air. The speed of his reflexes is so fast, they begin responding directly to his spider-sense and instinct, making him lash out at negligible threats, His reflexes and movements allow him to dodge any object that travels at high speeds: projectiles such as bullets, lasers, etc. his movement ability and reflexes are such that he is almost untouchable. His extraordinary agility, reflexes, and speed would allow him to escape SHIELD agents like nothing, taking others such as Mary Jane with him and dodging shots at the same time. Spider-Man's Spider-Sense allows him to preempt danger before it happens, which helps him to react in advance, Also, Spider-Man would easily dodge the Vulture who also possesses increased strength, reflexes, and speed far beyond normal limits. Spider-Man's combination of agility, speed, and reflexes allows him to dodge attacks from even beings like Dazzler, and the Light Master who by nature of his powers can be at the speed of light, even dodged Cyclops's Optic Blasts, Spider-Man mentioned his speed that when moving everything seems to be in slow motion, and he can also see Speed Demon's movements. Uniting his speed, reflexes, agility, and, above all, his spider-sense, Spider-Man has always been able to face superhumans with speedster powers, meaning Spider-Man can dodge attacks from even speedsters.
- Superhuman Endurance: Spider-Man has far superior endurance to that of any normal human being, He is able to endure anything that would normally kill any normal human being, Throughout his superhero career, Spider-Man has received the most diverse types of injuries, the vast majority of which would instantly kill any normal human, in some cases, he was able to keep fighting and even win fights despite having several broken bones. and survives things that that would outright kill any non-superhumanly enhanced human. These include, but aren't limited to, electrocution, smash-through brick walls, incendiary grenades, demolition explosives, pipe bombs, and falls from hundreds of feet. Note that he survives all of this with minor to no physical injuries and just gets back up only slightly disoriented. In one incident he survives a single hit from the Hulk (whose punches are strong enough to pulverize tanks and helicopters), though he stated he couldn't survive more than one hit. Spider-Man has also weathered blows from such superhuman adversaries as Venom, Carnage, the Lizard, Rhino, Sandman, Scorpion and even the Juggernaut. His durability isn't powerful enough to shrug off sharp blades or gunfire, however.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Spider-Man has a strong healing factor. While not as fast as Wolverine's or Deadpool's, it is sufficiently powerful enough to rapidly recover from even the most serious of physical injuries such as broken bones, ruptured organs, and large amounts of tissue damage in a matter of hours, even quickly heal wounds that would normally kill normal humans, he rapidly healed a broken arm in a few hours after one of his encounters with the Vulture, healed an injured shoulder after an encounter with the Lizard, and even healed broken ribs in a couple of hours, After getting his powers, he soon discovered that he no longer needed his glasses and his vision was more acute without them, he discovered this when his spectacles were broken by Flash Thompson, His eyesight was superhuman, During a battle with a villain called the Masked Marauder, Spider-Man was rendered completely blind, however, during a visit to an eye specialist, it was revealed that Spider-Man was already healing only mere hours of being blasted. after Spider-Man's eyes were healed to perfection, his superhuman vision was restored, although they were sensitive for about an hour after, when the original Carrion shined a light in his face, his eyes healed afterwards, his eyes also rapidly and perfectly healed after he was blinded by a flash bomb, Spider-Man's healing factor rapidly and perfectly restored his hearing after recovering from deafening noises after escaping from the Headhunter's deafening walls, Due to his accelerated metabolism, Spider-Man has a higher tolerance for drugs and diseases than normal humans, and he can recover from the effects of larger doses rapidly. Spider-Man has fallen into the flu many times but rapidly and perfectly recovered from it in a matter of hours, during an encounter with the bee-based villain known as the Swarm, Spider-Man was incapacitated by thousands of bee stings but rapidly recovered in less than 24 hours. His resistance & recovery time to other toxins and diseases varies but is typically significantly higher than that of normal. Spider-Man's unique physiology even allowed him to rapidly recover from lethal poisons in 12 hours. Spidey also made a rapid-paced full recovery when he was heavily drugged during when he was in an insane asylum known as the Mad Dog Ward in less than 3 hours, his superhuman health and immune system even allowed him to rapidly recover from the effects of even Ethyl Chloride due to his radioactive blood, Spider-Man even tolerated a virus created by the Vulture until he cured him with a temporary and than a permanent cure by the Owl and Doctor Octopus respectively, and Spider-Man's regenerative capabilities are the reason how he was able to maintain and retain his athletic physique, However, despite all the feats, Spider-Man still has normal human tolerance for alcoholic beverages.
- Biological/Organic Webbing Generation: Like his counterpart from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy, Spider-Man was also gifted with the ability to organically produce his silk webbing from glands within his forearms, depending on his body's health and nutrition. These organic webs have many of the same properties as his artificial webbing, though they require a week to decay rather than decomposing in two hours, Thanks to their similar properties, it appears Spider-Man can utilize his organic webbing in any way he could with his artificial webbing. The silk is released through a spinneret near each wrist containing a central web spigot orifice used for web-slinging and draglines, supplemented by several radial minor spigots for other types of webs connected to specialized glands, Spider-Man can release long, thin strands of organic webbing in the form of web lines and drag lines released from a pair of ampullated glands located in each forearm and released through a major web spigot in each wrist. By firing a thin strand of webbing at a nearby object, usually a tall building or object, then swinging with a said strand of webbing, Spider-Man can blend captured criminals (even those with superhuman strength) to be picked up by police officers, as well as covering a small area with an extremely sticky blob, trapping or ensnaring escaping criminals or vehicles. He can cast extremely large webs across two certain points as sticky nets to ensnare escaping criminals. Spider-Man can travel vast distances quickly. When Spider-Man swings across a city on his web lines, his spider-sense guides his aim, allowing him to travel at high speeds at hundreds of feet above street level with minimal concentration, confident his web lines will find secure anchor points. A pair of flabelliform glands located within his forearms release a variety of elastic, sticky ensnarement and are released through minor web spigots in each wrist, firing a thicker "rope" of webbing, Spider-Man can cover an opponent's eyes, blindfolding them, or smother a handgun or a small bomb. He can also shape his webbing into various shapes and structures, such as parachutes, statues or dummies, baseball bats, full-size operational gliders, gloves, nets, air-proof domes, bandages, slings, bulletproof shields, plugs, patches, and even hammocks. The process is effortless for him, as he states it's like breathing.

Therefore, this has granted him complete proficient mastery over his webs. Peter is so also highly accurate when he projects his webbing and he usually shoots to blind, silence, or restrain opponents in battle or in stealth. it's also combined with his spider-sense, giving omnipresent detection of his surroundings, allowing him to swing through New York without looking where he shoots his webbing, even when blinded, Spider-Man is a very skilled marksman.

Weaknesses
Unlike many other superheroes, Spider-Man does not have a weakness that he is automatically vulnerable to, over the years methods have been created to render him vulnerable.
- Spider-Sense Disruption: Spider-Man's Spider-Sense can lose its effectiveness if it is blocked or temporarily weakened by specialized equipment or certain drugs. It also would not trigger if it detected something that is not registered as a threat like his friends, his aunt, the Spider-Clones, and the symbiotes, when deprived of his spider-sense, Spider-Man becomes vulnerable to surveillance and attack, and web-slinging requires most of his concentration.
- Wall-Crawling Disabling: Spider-Man's wall-crawling capabilities can be disabled, for example, Electro had a revelation during a battle about Spider-Man's clinging ability and can disrupt this power somehow, claiming that it was based on some sort of electromagnetic bonding, Many enemies, such as Stilt-Man and Paste Pot Pete have used lubricants to prevent Spider-Man from sticking. Some enemies have ripped Spider-Man from a surface but usually after the wall breaks from the strain, not from his powers failing, and pieces of a surface can still be seen clinging to his hands and feet.
- Ethyl Chloride: Perhaps as a side effect of gaining his powers, Spider-Man is susceptible to the pesticide ethyl chloride. This chemical is frequently used as a weapon by the Spider-Slayers.
- Bad Luck: Not exactly a flaw or a disadvantage in his crime-fighting, Peter Parker's life is generally a complicated one. Peter has been forced in numerous occasions to lie to people close to him, be late in his commitments, get away from people and so on for sake of his secret identity. This inherent difficultly to get his superhero life a secrecy, matched with the number of superhuman events and being in New York and simply coincidence his in turn, lead Peter to aggravate people around himself, even ones close to him, and to, more often than not, run into trouble and embarrassment. As Peter often remarks whenever he misses an opportunity to better his social life, improve his finances, or even get to work on time, (due to super-heroics), "Typical Parker Luck".
Weapons and Equipment
- Web-Shooters: Peter's brilliance at physical science allowed him to create web-shooters for the use when he became Spider-Man. The twin devices worn on his wrists are able to shoot thin strands of a special web fluid at high pressure and speeds.
- Web Fluid: A shear-thinning liquid, virtually solid until a shearing force is applied to it, rendering it fluid, whose exact formula remains unknown, but is rumored to be related to nylon. on contact with air, the long-chain polymer knits and forms an extremely tough, flexible fiber with extraordinary adhesive properties. the webbing's tensile strength is stronger then both Steel and Kevlar combined. The webbing is more elastic than rubber. The web fluid’s adhesive quality diminishes and decays rapidly with exposure to air. Where it does not make contact with air, such as the attachment disk of the web-shooter, it remains very adhesive. After approximately 2 hours, imbibed ether causes the solid form of the web fluid to dissolve into a powder. Because the fluid almost instantly melts from solid to liquid when under shear pressure and is not adhesive in its anaerobic liquid/solid phase transition point, there is no clogging of the web-shooter’s parts. Despite still owning them, he no longer uses them because he found out he had the ability to generate webs organically.
- Web-Slinging: Spider-Man can release long, thin strands or web fluid in in the form or web-lines and drag lines released from the web-shooters on both wrists, By firing a thin strand of webbing at a nearby object, usually a tall building or object, then swinging with said strand of webbing, Spider-Man is able to travel across a city on his weblines, his spider-sense guides his aim, allowing him to travel at high speeds hundreds of feet above street level with minimal concentration, confident his weblines will find secure anchor points.
- Web Ensnarement: Firing a thicker "rope" of webbing, Spider-Man can bind captured criminals (even those with superhuman strength) to later be picked up by police officers, as well as covering a small area with extremely sticky blob, trapping or ensnaring escaping criminals or vehicles. Spider-Man can cover an opponent's eyes, blindfolding them, or smother a handgun or a small bomb. He can cast large webs across two certain points as a sticky net to ensnare escaping criminals.
- Web Constructs: He can also shape his webbing into various shapes and structures, such as parachutes, statues or dummies, baseball bats, full-size operational gliders, trampolines, gloves, (for fighting the likes of Electro), nets, air-proof domes, (for underwater breathing), bandages, slings, bulletproof shields, plugs, patches, and even hammocks.
- Web Fluid Cartridges: Spider-Man's web-shooters are loaded up with cartridges that are filled up with web fluid. Peter no longer uses his cartridges after discovering his organic web-shooters.
Despite still owning them, he no longer uses them because he found out he had the ability to generate webs organically.
- Utility Belt: Spider-Man wears a utility belt under the shirt of his costume, it can carry spare web fluid cartridges, spider-tracers, a spider-tracker, a spider-signal, and his camera. Because of him now have organic web-shooters he no longer needs his cartridges.
- Spider-Tracers: Spider-Man uses spider shaped tracking devices which he takes out of his utility belt and throws on or fire from his web-shooters at his enemies, in an attempt to track and find his enemies easily, they are also detected by his spider-sense because they have a radio frequency in them.
- Spider-Tracker: A compass in held in his utility belt which Spider-Man uses after he sticks a Spider-Tracer on his foes, it's beacon can show him of where his enemies have gone, Due to Peter's Spider-Sense able to track the radio frequency in his Spider-Tracers which means he, despite still owning it, he no longer uses it.
- Spider-Signal: Spider-Man has a UV light on the belt buckle of his utility belt which is called a "spider-signal" that is a red light with a black web pattern with a red background, and big and white eyes outlined with black. He uses it as ether a light source or as a way to intimidate lesser villains, even since he discovered he had night vision, he no longer uses the Spider-Signal.
- Spare Web Fluid Cartridges: If Spider-Man's web-shooters run out of web fluid, his utility belt holds spare web fluid cartridges that allow him to reload his web-shooters. Peter no longer needs his cartridges after discovering his organic web-shooters.
- Modified Camera: Peter Parker/Spider-Man possesses a camera that can take pictures automatically at high-speeds and is held in his utility belt, and Peter himself uses the camera to take pictures for the Daily Bugle.
- Spider-Suits: Spider-Man has had multiple kinds of suits:
- Classic Red-and-Blue Costume: Spider-Man used to wear masked red-and-blue spider-costume throughout his career as Spider-Man's main classic and traditional suit, while Spider-Man has worn several other suits, he always finds himself returning to wearing this costume. It is made from a skintight cloth, most likely Spandex or similar. The costume is mostly blue with red gloves, boots, mid-section, and a mask. Peter designed a web pattern that covers the red portions of the suit, starting at the mask. The suit also has a black spider in the center of the chest and a larger red spider on the back, both of different designs. The mask has plastic lenses with a chrome two-way covering that allows Peter to see out, without letting others see in. The lenses also protect Peter's eyes from dust, dirt and the glare of the sun while he is swinging through the city. Also, the mask helps to conceal Peter's identity by muffling his voice, thus making it unrecognizable to others. He also wears a twin set of web shooters on his wrists under the gloves. A web cartridge belt is also worn under the suit, which has a spider signal on the buckle. Originally the suit had webbing-like material under the arms that Peter affectionately called "Web-pits" though they soon vanished from the costume and would appear off and on over the years when the series changed artists.
- Symbiote Suit/Black Suit: During the Secret Wars, Spider-Man's costume was torn during a battle and he tried to use what he thought was a fabric repair machine to fix it but unknowingly used a machine that was a prison that contained an alien symbiote, which formed on Spider-Man a near completely black suit that had a white spider on his chest that connected via his sides to a spider on his back with white patches on the back of his hands. The symbiote suit could respond to his thoughts, change its appearance, and create a seemingly unlimited amount of organic and stronger webbing. However, after wearing the suit for some time, he began to feel unusually tired and was unaware that when he was sleeping that the symbiote would control his body and go out to fight crime for several hours every night. Peter eventually got around to deciding to have the suit examined and consulted his friend Reed Richards who discovered that the suit was an alien creature and that attempting to bond to him and had to be forcefully removed from Peter with the aid of Mr. Fantastic and the Human Torch using sound waves and fire before locking it in a protective case though it would eventually escape and hung itself in Peter's Closet, disguised as one of his red and blue costumes. When preparing to go out as Spider-Man, Peter grabbed the symbiote and it reattached itself to him and attempted to force a bond between them which ended with Peter using Church Bells to force the symbiote to separate from him. His then-girlfriend-later-ex-girlfriend the Black Cat took it upon herself to make identical copies made of cloth for him to utilize as she found his traditional costume unexciting and while at first resistant he was forced to utilize them when the last of his costumes was destroyed. He would eventually destroy the Black Suit Replicas at the urging of his wife Mary Jane Watson-Parker after Venom attacked her, leaving her with a fear of the costume. Despite this, he would keep one replica of the suit for emergencies only.
- Spider-Armor: Over the years, Spider-Man has at times required more resilient suits that are best known is Spider-Armor. The original was made using a pseudo-Metallic compound he developed at ESU to combat the Enforcers who were utilizing high-caliber firearms. The suit, while successfully protecting him, also slowed him down and ended up being destroyed.
- Identity Crisis Costumes: When Spider-Man was framed by for the murder of a small-time crook using "web fluid" to fill his lungs. Norman Osborn also "provoked" Spider-Man into attacking him on tape, leaving Spider-Man with a five-million-dollar reward posted for his capture and unable to even go out on patrols without the police or even normal people attempting to shoot him. To clear his name and find the true killer, Spider-Man created four new costumed identities in the form of the heroes Hornet and Prodigy and the villains Dusk and Ricochet. The Ricochet suit showcased Peter's acrobatic abilities and stored bouncing disks that Peter could use as weapons. The Hornet identity had a battle armor that provided additional protection and utilized a jet pack designed by Hobie Brown, as well as sedative darts once used by Ben Reilly. The Dusk identity utilized a suit Spider-Man had obtained in the Negative Zone that had been only used by the greatest of warriors fighting for Freedom from Oppressors and allowed Peter to blend into the shadows and fly. The Prodigy's identity consisted of gold armor and a bulletproof vest that made Peter appear even stronger. Because his face was partially exposed Peter had to use makeup and a fake nose to fool people.
Personality and traits
Peter Parker
Spider-Man is commonly seen as a brave and righteous hero with an indomitable sense of justice and responsibility. Peter was shaken by his uncle's tragic death, resulting in a vow of responsibility that led him to the path of heroism and humanitarian service. One of Spider-Man's most prominent traits is his sense of humor, even in the face of certain death, Spider-Man can invariably crack a joke to the annoyance of both friends and foes. His reasons for this vary; either he wants to relieve the stress of a situation, or simply because he wants to hide how scared he is during a crisis, he also does this to get on the nerves of his opponents, since he knows that if they are angry, that they would normally lose themselves and be a vulnerable opponent. It is generally agreed, however, that whenever a life is in danger, he will stop telling jokes and take the current situation strictly seriously.
Spider-Man is also a loner, due to his individualistic style (having been a social outcast in his youth), Spider-Man finds it hard to work in teams. However, he gradually lessened over the years, to the point where Spider-Man is a member of the Avengers, the New Avengers, and the Future Foundation.
