The Issue

      SML has been sent a cease and desist letter from Nintendo, stating that they cannot use any Nintendo characters or have anything related to Nintendo in SML’s videos, due to the “racist, vulgar, sexist, discriminative” content. SML needs to be saved, and we are the ones who have to help. The community that SML has built is capable of doing amazing things, and we must all come together to stop Nintendo. It might sound stupid, but with enough of us I think we have a fighting chance. SML is part of the childhood of so many people, as they first started making content for YouTube around 13 years ago and have continued to this day. On their first channel, SML has grown to the size of over 9.4 MILLION subscribers. SML has been through a ton, including 2 YouTube Channels getting fully demonetized, but that’s nothing compared to this. SML is now unable to use anything related to Nintendo, they had to rebrand the channel, including channel names(SuperMarioLogan, SuperLuigiLogan, SuperBowserLogan, etc) to acronyms(SML,SLL,SBL), they will have to change all the thumbnails of previous videos to show no Nintendo Characters or Nintendo related content, but that’s not the worst thing of all this. SML IS NO LONGER ABLE TO USE NINTENDO CHARACTERS FOR VIDEOS. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM, AS IF THEY USE ANY NINTENDO CHARACTERS, THEY WILL GET SUED!!!!!! We as a community need to stop this. SML has kept us happy and supplied us with consistent, hilarious, amazing content, and now I think we should return the favor and do our best to help them. It would greatly help if you signed this petition!!!!!
