Can you load PEZ with the wrapper still on? That’s the question on everyone’s minds, thanks to a viral TikTok video that’s now getting debunked. The clip, which spread widely on social media in late July, claimed to show the “real” way to fill up a PEZ dispenser. In the video, TikTok user @sonn1c fills one of the candy dispensers simply by loading up the entire PEZ pack — wrapper, foil and all. Many TikTokers were astounded by the video, claiming they’d wasted “hours” as kids, loading each candy individually. However, others weren’t so convinced. One particularly crucial naysayer? The PEZ candy company. “Myth Busters: you can’t load a wrapped #PEZ candy roll from the bottom. Check out the proper way,” the brand wrote on Instagram. “This is great. I just saw the ‘fake’ way of loading yesterday,” one user commented. “I knew that video was a lie,” another added. Of course, it’s hard to say for sure if or how @sonn1c faked their original video.
