Piper is a Companion in Fallout 4, generally encountered first just outside Diamond City. She is also a potential Sex and Romance relationship interest.
Piper is a professional reporter that lives outside the good graces of the Diamond City establishment. She has a sister that helps her give the newspaper articles she prints to the people of Diamond City.
Piper's relationship level can increase a bit each time you pick a locked door or container. Its possible that the harder the lock is to pick, the more you can grow in good standing with Piper.
