Two vicious pit bulls pulled their owner to the ground as they brutally mauled a cat in a horrific attack.

CCTV footage shows the black cat lying the driveway of a home before the dogs, which are both on leads, walk past.

‌

Immediately spotting the feline, they both lunge for it, causing their female owner to land face-first on the concrete.

‌

The two dogs then tear into the defenceless animal, biting it as it tries to get away.

The owner also tries to regain control of the situation as she pulls at the leads trying to drag them off.

But the aggressive dogs are so strong there's nothing she can as they continue their merciless attack.

The video ends with the cat being pushed underneath a parked pick up truck the ferocious animals.

Despite the horrific and sustained attack, the person posting the gruesome video said the cat miraculously survived.

Since the footage was shared on Liveleak, it has amassed thousands of views and comments by shocked and disgusted people.

One wrote: "That could have been some little kid playing in his front yard or me riding my bicycle down the street.

"Those dogs are dangerous and unpredictable."

And another said: "She can't control one of the beasts, so she gets two.
