The Hisui Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus contains 242 Pokémon for you to collect.

Throughout the Hisui region, you'll find Pokémon from past generations living alongside Hisuian regional forms and new Pokémon making their first appearance in Legends: Arceus.

Arceus Pokédex size: How many Pokémon are there in Pokémon Legends Arceus?

There are 242 Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Each one is recoreded in the Hisui Pokédex, including the new Pokémon making their debut in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, like Wyrdeer, and the Hisuian regional variants.

Unlike Pokédex from past Pokémon games, entries in the Hisui Pokédex are filled by completing a number of Research Tasks. To learn more about this feature, visit our dedicated Research Task guide.

Two Pokémon also require you to have save files from Sword and / or Shield and Brilliant Diamond and / or Shining Pearl on your Nintendo Switch.

Finally, when you catch a shiny Pokémon, its picture will be recorded in the Hisui Pokédex; you can even switch between the traditional appearance for the Pokémon and its shiny variant. This will help you keep track of which shiny forms you've caught and those you haven't.

You’re also tasked with filling the Hisui Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions like Kleavor by evolving Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving Stantler, Sneasler by evolving Hisui Sneasel and Overquil by evolving Hisui Qwilfish.
