Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Rufflet Evolution Guide - Screen Rant

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can find, catch, and evolve Rufflet, a Normal- and Flying-type Pokémon that evolves into the fearsome Braviary. Both Rufflet and Braviary were originally introduced in the series alongside Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, and their above-average stats have since made them reliable Pokémon to have on any team. However, given Rufflet's unusual method of evolution, many players have probably found it to be a tedious endeavor to train Rufflet for any main story playthrough. Pokémon Legends: Arceus, thankfully, changes all that.

Braviary in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a completely different Pokémon than its Unovian counterpart, unlike Rufflet. Where the Unovian Braviary continues the lineage of becoming a Normal- and Flying-type Pokémon, Hisuian Braviary is a Psychic- and Flying-type Pokémon. Additionally, Unovian Braviary focuses mainly on a physical attack stat to deal significant damage, whereas Hisuian Braviary has a stronger Special Attack than it does physical.

If players are simply looking to add a Braviary to their team, they can actually skip the evolution process that involves Rufflet and catch one in the wild. To find and catch a Braviary in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, head to the top of Snowpoint Temple, where the Ride Braviary was first met. Flying around the peak of the temple is a wild Braviary, and like the Magnezone of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players will need Feather Balls or similar in order to catch it. Those who are looking to get a Braviary through traditional means are still in luck, however, as the Alabaster Icelands are full of Rufflet flying around Lake Acuity and Snowpoint Temple.

How To Evolve Rufflet In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Like many Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, Braviary received a Hisuian form that is significantly different from its Unovian form. Where it differs, however, is that Hisuian Braviary doesn't require anything special to evolve from Rufflet, like Basculin or Stantler. Instead, the only thing players need to do to evolve Rufflet into Hisuian Braviary is raise it to level 54. It's a significant level to raise a Pokémon to normally, but luckily the Rufflet that can be captured on Lake Acuity, home of Uxie in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, are all around, or even above, level 54. Be careful trying to catch one, however, as Rufflet become instantly aggressive and their close proximity to one another leads them to attack in greater numbers.

After players find and catch a Rufflet for their own, they simply need to go into their party and evolve it like they would any other Pokémon. Thankfully, Rufflet is one of the easier Pokémon to evolve into its Hisuian form in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but don't be fooled by its favor towards the Attack stat. The best nature to catch a Rufflet with in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is not Adamant, but rather Modest. Similar to Hisuian Zoroark in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a Modest nature is the best nature a Hisuian Braviary can have as it raises the Special Attack stat significantly.
