Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu Eevee: How To Get Bulbasaur ...
Maybe your like

Whenever a new Pokémon game arrives, one of the first questions players have is about where they can find their favourite monster.
With Pokémon: Let's Go - which strips the PokéDex right back to the original 151 'mon - this usually means focusing on the 'classic' beasts, including Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.
After all, these were the 'starter' Pokémon that so many of us grew up with. As a result, you may well fire up your freshly-purchased copy of Let's Go today and wonder exactly how to get them - and that's where we come in.

Where to get Bulbasaur in Pokemon: Let’s Go

You can bag yourself a Bulbasaur in Cerulean City. To do so, head to the Pokémon Center and then enter the house immediately on the left. You must have caught at least 30 Pokémon (this total includes duplicate catches) to gain this famous monster.
Where to get Charmander in Pokemon: Let’s Go

You can get a Charmander by heading to Cerulean City and then heading north to the Nugget Bridge, which leads to Route 24. As soon as you exit the bridge you'll see a trainer stood with a Charmander; as long as you've caught 50 Pokémon (including duplicate catches) then he'll hand the monster over.
Where to get Squirtle in Pokemon: Let’s Go

Squirtle appears in Cerulean City initially and is seen causing Officer Jenny all kinds of problems. Later on, this pesky 'mon will appear in Vermillion City, where Officer Jenny will gladly offload it to you if you've caught 60 Pokémon (yes, including dupes)
All three of these monsters spawn in the wild too, but it's much easier to get them using the guide above, especially once you've bagged a few beasts and have unlocked fast travel with the 'Sky Dash' technique.

Isn’t the only way to gain levels in this game is to catch Pokémon? Should have hundreds by then if thats the case

I’m about 3 hours into this game and my hand is killing me. I find it incredibly uncomfortable to hold a single Joy Con (the worlds smallest controller). God I wish they would just let us use a Pro Controller. I’m not even looking forward to playing again the controls are so bad.

The problem is that when you find these Pokemon they will be displayed at the crappy frame rate of 30 or less. I can't believe Nintendo released this game at a choppy frame rate and high resolution. Please patch in a performance mode so things move smoothly at 60 fps!

I wish the GO Park wasn't where the Safari Zone was in the older games, simply because it's near the end of the game's main story before you access it. I have so many Shiny Squirtle, Shiny Charmander, and Shiny Bulbasaur on my Pokémon GO account that the easiest way would have been to just transfer them over to Let's Go. But that's not possible at the beginning of the game. Bummer.

@Swaz
Play in handheld mode? You have to have some really big mitts if it's THAT uncomfortable, because my hands are bigger than average and the Joy con never felt that bad. Granted I use a Pro controller for most games but I've played 50 turn Mario Party games with my friends and it didn't hurt.

@Swaz You know, in handheld mode you can just tap the A button and it'll catch your Pokémon instead of using motion controls. Yeah it means you can't play while docked but since every Pokémon RPG in the past was a handheld game, it'll be an extra-dose of nostalgia for you!

@Frenean I know...I just would have liked to have played with a team of Shiny starters! And I mean it would have required a bit more programming on Game Freak's part but they could have limited transfers to just the first evolutions until you get "X" number of badges and then the full evolutionary transfers could open up. There's ways they could have done it.

True, can't argue with that! Honestly though I'm probably not going to actually use any of my Pokemon GO Pokemon, I feel like completing my PokeDex with mon from the main games will be more satisfying since I had to actually track them down and catch them in their habitat.

@Frenean You hold the Joy-Con horizontally 99% of the time in Mario Party, so it's not as bad. With Pokemon, you hold a single Joy-Con vertically.

@DarthFoxMcCloud I'm aware of that, makes it even more baffling that you can't use a Pro Controller. I love handheld mode while I'm on the go but I'm not going to play handheld while I'm sitting beside a big screen TV, that's just silly.

But you use two hands to hold one Joy con in Mario Party, so if anything it'd be more uncomfortable to play it.

@Frenean No because the Joy-Con is horizontal in Mario Party. Every game in the world has you move with your left thumb, and press buttons with your right. It's awful doing both with one thumb.

@Slim1999 Which Switch? I'm emulating these games on my computer!
Before anyone smashes their keyboard I am in fact kidding. Though it can't be denied that previous games were relatively easy to hack. Let's Go won't be cheating proof either because of the phone app. Don't worry, I won't bother with these dark arts... for now

@Swaz Don't use your thumb for both. Use your thumb to move and the trigger for the action button. The only time you'll need to press a face button is to open your menu, or when you're battling/catching Pokémon (but you're not moving then).
@AG_Awesome No. It's a mix of catching Pokémon and battling. Catch Pokémon to use in battles to earn cash to buy Pokeballs to catch more Pokémon. Well balanced gameplay loop- both earn you XP for your party and thus both level you up.

@Kalmaro It was always a thing I disliked, not being able to find the starters ANYWHERE in their region. I know it was to encourage trading but even as a kid 20 years ago, I remember thinking it made no sense.

Who is going to get to this stage in the game and not have caught 40/50/60 pokemon?! At least make it 40 in the Pokedex. It's too easy. I suppose that's the point though

Already found Bulbasaur in Viridian Forest, and Charmander in the patch of grass just before Mt. Moon. That's 2/3 before Cerulean City, and I'm sure I'll bump into Squirtle soon.

It's not exactly easy. Since Charmander requires you to have catched 50 unique Pokémon, which is impossible at the time you reach that NPC.Same with Squirtle, which requires you to have catched 60 unique Pokémon.
Only Bulbasaur is relatively easy, since it requires 30 unique Pokémon, which is quite easily achievable early on in the game.
But for the other two, you more than likely to encounter them in the wild before you reach the requirements to get them from the NPC.

Not sure why people are making such a huge fuss over the motion controls. Been using the Poke Ball Plus and yeah there's a small learning curve...but I've been able to easily time Excellent Shots "throwing" the Poke Ball Plus and even the Joy Con. The only downside is the Ball doesn't have a Capture button to take screenshots/videos so I have to have my left Joy Con always beside me to catch those really adorable moments this game is full of. But yeah the motion controls are super easy, super intuitive, and a lot of fun. Stop complaining and just enjoy the Pokémon game we all imagined as kids playing Red, Blue, and Yellow on our old Game Boy systems. And yes, there's trainer battles......SO MANY TRAINER BATTLES. This is classic Pokémon, slightly revamped for the modern age.
