False Swipe Competitive Analysis
False Swipe is a good utility move that leaves the target with one HP. This is especially useful when catching wild Pokemon as it heightens the chance of successfully catching it.
Competitively, False Swipe sees little to no play. Leaving your target at one HP isn't ideal when you can simply make them faint using stronger moves. With that, we suggest simply using your Pokemon's STAB move to deal lethal damage instead.
