On Fjordur there is a cave called The Shimmering Halls located at 12.5 62.6. In this cave you can harvest polymer from boxes that spawn by a anvil found in the cave. There is a bridge that goes straight and right. It is on the right. These boxes respawn and give you polymer, metal, and obsidian.

ARK MOBILE: This method is preferable for single player as youll receive 100% of your materials back if you destroy a structure. What you want to do is grab yourself some clubs and go kill as many penguins as you can for organic polymer. You then want to place that organic polymer in a fabricator and make vaults - I typically do around 4- Destroy them and instead of recieving organic polymer, it’ll be converted to regular polymer. Repeat the process :D

Organic poly will work instead of regular poly if you’re in a pinch. Otherwise just craft it with obsidian and and cementing paste in a fabricator.

On ark mobile, if you are on casual difficulty you can use an achatina to get organic polymer by logging out then back in, then craft something with a fabricator with the organic polymer.(make sure you have enough of the other resources and make sure to make 2)Then place 1 then the other (i used elevator track), then get 1 of them back (there is a short time where you can pick up the structure without destroying it) then destroy the other one. You will get polymer instead of organic polymer. Rinse and repeat and you have virtually infinite polymer.

Easy way to get lots of obsidian

Get an argy and anky and go to a place where there is a lot of obsidian nodes and smack away with you anky and then put the obsidian in your argy because of the weight reduction and fly back to base. I have gotten 4 stacks at a time with this method.

U will need this all the time once u get a fabricator and u need obsidian and segmenting paste and personal I found it hard to kill animals for like 4 keratin so if ur on the island go in between the snow area and redwood forest and u will see a Rivar there will be some dams now if u haven’t looked in the dams then u will be rich but if u look in the m often then u won’t have as much

Ok first off, as another user stated, bring anklo and argy to any place with a lot of obsidian rocks. Use anklo and when it’s gets over encumbered transfer the obsidian to argy. Repeat until your argy is just able to fly (with you riding it) and bring to base. For mobile, bring to volcano (and since I’ve seen a few allos get in the top area, bring a few spikes. Console players could do this method too! If wood, bring around about 75. Set up a parameter on the outskirts, when done build a parameter inward, Repeat. If metal, bring around 45-50(maybe. Haven’t put metal up there yet) That way, when you leave ur anklo on the volcano, they will be about 50% safer than just being in the open with no defense. Additionally the more melee damage they have, the more materials you get.[at least that’s what I heard]

Secondly, I saw some user whining about polymer being made in the fabricator, and not the smithy… so their logic is; “if it uses it, they must produce the materials used in all listed recipes/engrams”…. See a problem here? You can’t smelt in the smithy, you have the refining forge, and the industrial forge for a reason. What do you do when you get metal? Put them in a forge, light the fire…. After it’s done, here is the major part: you take the ingots to the smithy. So what if requires the next workstation to create, when it comes down to it, the fabricator is a forge of advanced materials (obviously weapons, equipment, ammo, etc. as well)…. What im saying is, just enjoy the game and don’t complain about an extremely minor inconvenience.

if you are converting organic polymer to normal polymer on singleplayer casual mode, the most efficient and practical building to do it with is the chemistry bench (dont waste 3200 metal ingots for 600 polymer and a building that takes up a 1x2 area xd)

If your playing on extinction the corrupted nodes can be used as polymer to so get your shadowmanes ready and shred the heak out of the big corrupted dinos that give the most or just do red orbital drops they have ALOT of big corrupted dinos
