You did it, you're the new champion! That said, there's still more to explore and our Post Game page of IGN’s Pokemon Sword and Shield walkthrough and wiki guide will continue to provide info on hidden collectible locations and strategies as you navigate to complete everything else.

There are several things you can do as soon as you return from the Title Screen, but the Legendary Quest and Battle Tower are the biggest in terms of content.

A post-credits scene hints at something stirring in the Slumbering Weald. Head to the shrine you discovered to start this mission!

Battle Tower

The Battle Tower, i.e Rose Tower, will open up in Wyndon. Read up on the different trainer battle and more at our Battle Tower guide here. This is also where you go to unlock the IV Checker.

Get the Master Ball

Back at home in Postwick, step into the kitchen as a guest arrives. Professor Magnolia will enter and hand you a Master Ball. This ball will catch anything you throw it at. This is the only one you get, make it count!

How to Get Charmander

Go inside the home of Hop and Leon in Postwick and head upstairs. In Leon's room you'll find a standard Poke Ball on the ground. A letter attached to it explains it's a Charmander for you to keep. Thanks Leon! This Charmander can turn into a Gigantamax Charizard, too!

Learn the Move Steel Beam

The man in the lower parts of Motostoke will teach eligible Pokemon the move Steel Beam now that you're the Champion. To get there, start from the Pokemon Center at the upper level, go down the south path (the one where you walk through a turning cog), and go down the metal stairs to an area with cargo crates.

Get the Beast Ball

Another congratulatory reward for becoming Champion awaits you in Stow-on-Side. Talk to the merchant on the right to get a Beast Ball.

Find All the Rare League Cards

Some characters have a special rare version of their League Card that you can only get after you beat the main story. Here's a list of each rare card and where to find it. Take note, many of these cards will be given to you during the Legendary Quest.

Obtain the Oval Charm

Now that you're champion, head to the hotel in Circhester and enter the first door on the left. Talk to the police officer who will reveal himself as GAME FREAK's Morimoto.

Defeat his team of six powerful Pokemon to obtain the Oval Charm. The neat item is automatically applied and will increases likelihood of an egg being produced at the Nursery.

Get the Catching Charm

CHARM guy in Circhester.png

Head to Circhester. Enter the hotel on the left, and use the elevator to go to the rooms. Enter the last room down the hallway on the left. Inside, talk to the doctor in this room - he'll give you a Catch Charm. This charm automatically applies and increases your chance of landing Critical Captures. Crit Captures occur when you capture a Pokemon and it captures after just one shake - it will wiggle in the air before doing this.

Get the Shiny Charm

To get the Shiny Charm, speak to the same man in the Circhester hotel who gave you the Catching Charm. Once you've filled out all 400 pages of your Pokedex, he'll give you the Shiny Charm, which increases the chance you'll find or breed a Shiny Pokemon. How to Get Type: Null

Head inside the old Rose Tower building in Wyndon and walk over to the left side of the lobby. Talk to the girl near the Type: Null and she'll give it to you for free! She'll also give you memories which can help its evolution Silvally change its type. What a pal!

Rewatch the Credits

Did you like the credits after you became champion? Well, you've got the opportunity to watch them again by heading to Hulbery City and speaking to the man near the lighthouse. He'll ask you twice if you want to hear the Maximizers play again and hey, he's not playing around. Agreeing to it will force you to watch the credits, no option to skip!

Breed Pokemon

If you want Pokemon with the best, most optimal stats, you'll want to breed them. This is how you can ensure they'll have the best Individual Values and the right Nature and Ability]]. This way, you'll also start with a clean slate for EV Training!
