Poster sizes and their common uses

Smallest

Commonly used for street posts, handouts, information desk areas, A4 posters are ideal for smaller projects.

Small

Commonly used for bulletin boards, events, concerts and promotions, it is a better alternative for outside use than an A4. It is also easy and relatively cheap to produce in bulk, but large enough to catch the eye.

Medium

Movie Poster

As the name suggests, it is commonly used for movie posters, character posters, collectable vintage prints and large decorative posters. It is a standardized size perfect to house a combination of striking film titles, credits, movie information, and a compelling visual.

Bus Stop Poster

Commonly used for advertisements, promotions, events and, films, it allows space for big, strong typography and impactful visuals to get the attention of passersby.
