Following 31 Main Story missions of MGS 5, a series of challenge missions open up in the second chapter of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Unlocking these Metal Gear 5 missions gradually unlocks new story missions revealing further details of the plot. They also incorporate a number of required story-centered Side Ops. IGN's wiki guide will take you through all of them.

CHAPTER 2: RACE

The Chapter 2 missions unlock gradually after completing Mission 31 of the Main Story. Chapter 2 contains 19 extra missions, seven of which are brand new (the rest are just repeats of previous missions but with higher difficulty).
