• nneelietx Posted 07-07-13Our pbk backpacks always last at least 2 years if that helps. And the embroidered name is great for not mixing things up.

  They do get marked down, sometime around the middle of this month. We have bought 3 sets of backpacks and lunchboxes. While the straps wear thin on the regular lunch boxes and fray after about a year, the retro box still looks brand new 2 years later. The backpacks still look brand new: 1 is 4 years old, another 3, the last 2. They have been beaten by 2 young boys.

  We got ours for $35 each (the $55 and $50 packs) with free shipping. Lunchboxes were $19 each. I will be buying a new set for my youngest this year.

• oooocarmieooo Posted 07-07-13They are not worth it. Not even on sale. No warranty on them. By the middle of the school year, my son's backpack was ready torn and frayed at the seams. I called to ask if I can send it in to be fixed, even if they charge me, but that was a no go. I was told I could purchase another one instead. The lunch box he had is just disgusting at this point and I threw it out. I would never buy another PPB luggage again. I had better luck with the cheap character backpack from Kohl's. Those are all still intact after 1 year.
• HC09 Posted 07-07-13I know nothing about big kid backpacks as my kids are 4 and 1. But i got one of the smaller ones from pbk 2 + years ago and it atill looks brand new. However i got a lands end back to school catalog in the mail yesterday for 25% off on all that stuff. If anyone needs the code.
• Kys_mommy Posted 07-07-13ODSs PBK backpack still looks new after 2 years. Lunchbox is a little frayed. Interested about sales though cuz he'll need to upgrade to the regular/ larger size this year.
• jessica-mom2charlie InactivePosted 07-07-13I really really love lands end. I got YDS a cool comic book backpack for $14.99 in April. Name embroidered, shipping, tax... Total price $28. ODS has a similar backpack and it's going on year #3 and it looks brand new.

• tropicalnewlywed Posted 07-07-13Yay I'm glad to hear they hold up well! I bought ODD a backpack and the retro matching lunch box for kindy. I didmt embroider her name tho. I didn't want a stranger to know her name and she think it was a person she should know. I worry about everything . . . .
