Flash Flood Warning is in effect

PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WSFA) - Popular chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A is slated to open a second location in the city of Prattville this week.

The new fast food restaurant, located at 2021 Fairview Avenue, will open Thursday with dine-in and drive-thru services, according to the chain’s website.

Local franchise owner Daniel Grier is planning some special events for the community to mark the occasion.

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, the new restaurant will surprise 100 local heroes making an impact in Prattville with free food for a year.

Also, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America with the money going to partners within the greater Prattville area to aid in the fight against hunger.

This new location will feature mobile ordering, catering pickup and a playground. It will be operated by Daniel Grier, who also operates the city’s other location on Cobbs Ford Road.

The new restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
