I seriously can't find any notation on HOW to premove, and it's insanely frustrating.  I have it enabled but can't make it work.  Can someone guide me on HOW to make a premove.. that would be incredibly wonderful!

 Go to your settings, Live Chess, and you should find a setting labeled "Premove"

When it's your opponent's turn you can make a move and then when your opponent does move, the move you made will be played automatically and taking 0.1 seconds off your clock.  If the premove you made is illegal, then nothing happens and it's your turn.

Thanks for trying, but that STILL doesn't answer my question.  Anyway, I finally figured it out:

 

To make a premove you LEFT CLICK on the piece you want to move, hold it down and move to the square you want it to go before the opponent makes their move.

 

I don't know why that simple instruction is so hard to find, and to get out of people.  Mind boggling.

How do you make your normal moves?  I figured you would know it's the same way you make a premove.  Actually that's a stupid question on my part. :/

You should also be able to click the piece and then the destination square. On the website, premoves work just like regular moves, only done when it isn't your turn.

 

It is similar on the app but I believe it only allows one premove and may not allow premove captures.

I think you are referring to daily chess, in that case it should be conditional moves that are made. pre-moves, if I am not mistaken are for live (1, 3, 5, 10 min, etc.) chess games. At least, that is how I have been playing.

I am playing both in app and in bowser in app the pre move works but in the browser it is not working. Can anyone share what is wrong ??

This how to premove. First you have to get live match, then go to the setting, after that to the play section, then you go to the live i think (its beside general), then you got to get premove from deactive to active. then you can premove

I lose 45% of games on time because I cant Premove. I play in the browser and tried to fix the settings but for some reason, it is not working!! It's frustrating to lose on time when you have a winning position or an advantageous position.  My rating is 200 points below my actual strength. Frustrated

If you're on the Play interface try enabling the setting using the icon next to the board. If that doesn't work, verify the setting under the main site settings, under Live Chess there.

FYI - if you premove and then, while your opponent is still thinking, you decide it was a bad choice you can use your right click to "un premove" if you do it before they move. Very helpful if you realize the premove might not be a good idea if you opponent makes a move that would capture the piece that you premoved.

on the chess.com search you can lookup settings: live and  then it should show it at the top.
