Printer Driver Settings

This section describes the items that can be configured when the PostScript kit is installed, using the [Print Setting] screen in Windows as an example. • When optional equipment is connected, first configure the settings in [Printer Configuration] under the [Environment] tab to use certain functions. • When printing from a Mac, use the standard OS settings for [Copies], [Original Size], and [Orientation].

[Basic] Tab

For more information on each setting item, see "[Basic] Tab" (p. 3-9) in "Print". Output Specify whether to print the data sent from a computer, or save it in a folder on this machine. Form data can also be registered to the machine. [Print] Prints the data. [Print & Storage] Prints the original data and save it in a folder on the machine. [Storage] Saves the original data in a folder on the machine. In addition, create a PRN file to use in the Barcode Area Definition Software. [Form] Registers forms. For more information, see "Form Overlay" (p. 8-18) in the [Advanced] tab. Tray Selection Per Page You can specify the tray to use for each page. When the check box is selected, you can specify which tray to print from, for each page. [Standard Tray] Specify the pages that are printed from the standard tray. [Feed Tray 1] Specify the pages that are printed from feed tray 1. [Feed Tray 2] Specify the pages that are printed from feed tray 2. • Use commas to separate the specified page numbers (1,2,3, etc.), or specify a range of pages (such as 1-10). • If no tray is specified for a particular page, it is printed from the tray specified in the [Paper Tray] setting. • When a tray is specified for a page, image processing is performed on the page based on the paper settings (paper type) for the specified tray.
