Process Refunds | Square Support Center - US

Point of sale app:
- Sign in to your point of sale app and tap Transactions.
- Select the payment you’d like to refund. You can also search for the payment by card number, phone, customer name, receipt, notes, or item.
- Tap Issue refund.
- You can tap Select All Items to refund the entire sale, select only specific items to refund, or tap Amount to refund a specific amount.
- Tap Next.
- Choose how you’d like to refund the amount and select a reason for the refund.
- Tap Refund.
Square Dashboard:
- Sign in to your Square Dashboard and go to Transactions.
- Select the payment you’d like to refund. You can also use the filters to search for the payment.
- Click ••• > Issue Refund.
- You can check the Items box to refund the entire sale or check only specific items to refund. You can also click Refund Amount to refund a specific amount and select a reason for the refund.
- Click Issue Refund.
