Ronnie Ireland
Illustrated talk – take 6 : INTERIOR
“take 6” is a series of lectures where I take a theme (INTERIOR in this case) and look at how six artists from different places and times have used that theme as inspiration.
The artists in this instance are:- VUILLARD, VAN EYCK, BACON, VAN GOGH, HOPPER, VERMEER. Some rooms are real, some imagined, some a combination of the two, but all show how an artist’s life and imagination can transform and be inspired by the interiors in which they live.
More about Ronnie …Ronnie Ireland studied at The Open University, majoring in 20th Century Arts, History and Philosophy. He has exhibited work in Scotland, Northern England and now mainly in the Home Counties, where he now lives.
Ronnie is an experienced lecturer and gives well-researched talks on many art subjects.

Members Art Social
Following on from the last book-club style meeting which was very enjoyable and a great way to discuss art and artists with others. Members are asked to bring a painting that they have completed or are working on, or a painting by someone else that they particularly like. And in small groups the painting will be discussed, and techniques shared. This is an informal and supportive setting and a great way to meet other members.

Sara Dixon (Aka FingFlo)
Talk/demo – iPad artThis will mainly be a talk/demonstration and there is no pressure to participate.
Sara says: As most of my work is hand drawn on the iPad. I think it might be good to concentrate on fluid or as fun as iPad art, which can also be practised on a mobile phone should one wish. Drawings apps are incredibly good value and super easy to install, which might appeal to the audience.
If you are interested in participating in an exercise, please bring an iPhone or iPad to the meeting. Bourne Hall has free Wi-Fi which is easy to connect to.
More about FingFlo …Every weekend FingFlo can be found at Broadway Market, in east London, selling their super colourful silk and cotton scarves and accessories.
Everything is digitally printed in the UK, in small batches. It cuts down on waste.
FingFlo only likes natural materials – so when your scarf has lived its lovely life it just disappears back to the earth.
BTW inspiration is everywhere
