Terp pearls can be an exciting way to spice up your smoking routine while also adding heat retention to your rip. Not only do they look beautiful while spinning, but they make sure your puddle gets evenly heated and distributed over the quartz banger. Because of the nature of their use, they can go through normal wear and tear over time. Don't forget, many terp pearls are made with borosilicate glass, which although is very sturdy isn't indestructible. Properly caring for them will prolong the life of your terp pearls, here's a few tips we've learned and want to share with you. 

1. Use a tweezer or pearl claw to place your terp pearl into your banger gently. While they are sturdy enough to take a drop, over time this may weaken your pearl and make it more prone to cracks or breakage. 

2. Cold-start your rip. Pearls are sensitive to heat-shock. You don't want to heat up your banger with the pearl inside, this may cause your pearl to crack or even shatter. To avoid this, try cold-starts: While the pearl is in the banger, you can drop in your terps. Use the torch to heat up your banger very gently until you see bubbles and vapor, then rip! 

3. If you need to heat the banger red hot, take the terp pearl out beforehand. You can drop the pearl back into the quartz banger after you've let the banger cool down to your desired temperature. 

4. To clean your pearls, soak or wipe down with isopropyl alcohol.
