You can play with your PS3 online. How to connect your Playstation 3 to the Internet connection, you will learn in the Following. The prerequisite for this, however, is that your PS3 model is Wi-Fi capable.

So you set up on your Playstation 3 Internet connection is wireless via Wi-Fi

1. You go in the main menu on the left to the "settings".
2. Then navigate to the "network settings".
3. Now click on the menu item "Internet connection settings".
4. Select "Yes" if a confirmation screen appears, the connection to the Internet will be disconnected if already a connection exists.
5. Then click on "Easy".
6. Now tap on the Option "Wireless".
7. Now select "scan". A list of Wi-Fi access points within range of your PS3™system will be displayed.
8. Depending on your PS3 model, the Option "Automatically is now" available to make further settings to automatically configure.
9. Then, select the name of your Wi-Fi connection and the associated security settings.
10. Now enter your encryption Code. You can find it on the back of your router/modem.
11. If you entered your encryption Key and your network have confirmed the configuration, a list appears with the settings. May be other inputs, for example, for the Proxy Server or the IP address are required. For details, refer to the information of your Internet Provider or in the instructions for your network device.
12. Save your settings, wait about two minutes, and then test the Internet connection by clicking "test connection" option. If the connection is successful, displays the Playstation 3, you soon the information to the network. Otherwise, unplug your Router and your PS3 from the network and then try it all again from the beginning.

For a wired Internet connection, you connect your PS3 via LAN cable with your Router/Modem and just follow the above steps, skip steps 6 - 11.
