Since 1929, the death penalty has been abolished in Puerto Rico, and since 1952, the Constitution has also clearly opposed it. However, since Puerto Rico is a non-incorporated territory of the United States, numerous U.S. federal laws apply in addition to its own constitution. While their applicability on Puerto Rican soil is heavily debated, the fact is that the U.S. Attorney's Office has imposed and also executed numerous sentences in Puerto Rico. In 2019 alone, there were 22 cases, according to Anmesty International.Countries that use the US dollarUsage and exchange rates of the US dollar. Convert USD to any other currency.
