My girlfriend's favorite color is purple. I was curious if there are any non-venomous, buyable purple snakes out there. Anyone know? Norm66

Sorry, nothing springs to mind. There's not much purple in nature other than fish. Now watch someone post a dozen pics of purple snakes. lol lucysfriend

Orchid corn snake. I love purple (and hate pink :p ) and I'd love to have one of these eventually :D It's a combination between a lavender and a sunkissed. The lavenders are nice as adult but I don't care for their coloration as babies. Both are also affordable where the ball python lavender morphs are not. Corns are very easy to care for as well. The only other one I can think of that's purple is any purple morph retic, but that's really too much snake unless you're into giants like me. The purple phase albino retic will be my next giant, although the purple motley is much better looking IMO but it's more than what I want to pay for any snake right now. +1 on the purple albino retics. So very pretty. Becky likes them too so when 50% or more super dwarf purples become more readily available (<$) we might have to get one. - - - Updated - - - And sorry, but I need to edit out the links. They go to another forum. It's the rules. 18jy8 Rogue

I've thought about going the dwarf route with retics (and even burms) but the way they're being legislated, I'm afraid the 'normal' sized ones will soon be illegal to have unless they're already grandfathered in or you have to pay an insane amount of money just to be legal to keep them (permits, etc). The size doesn't bother me and honestly, I think it's part of the charm the giants have for me. But I know Becky would probably like her animals to be at a size she can manage easier. Rogue

Sorry Norm. I didn't realize those links went to a forum. I just thought it was a breeder's page. Norm66

No problem. Our house is too small for full size retics. Plus Becky likes 'em smaller. Becky Goings

If I ever get to build my dream house, we will have a female purple albino retic. I'd love one now, but our house really just isn't big enough. That lavender corn is gorgeous though.
