Ctrl key bound (16 shortcuts)

6	Tab	Auto-complete file and folder names
7	Ctrl + W	Delete the word before cursor
1	Ctrl + K	Clear the line after cursor
3	Ctrl + T	Swap the last two characters before the cursor
1	Esc + T	Swap the last two words before the cursor
7	Alt + F	Move cursor forward one word on the current line
5	Alt + B	Move cursor backward one word on the current line
8	Ctrl + A	Go to the beginning of the line you are currently typing on
9	Ctrl + E	Go to the end of the line you are currently typing on
0	Ctrl + L	Clear the screen (similar to the clear command)
8	Ctrl + U	Clear the line before the cursor position. If you are at the end of the line, clears the entire line
3	Ctrl + H	Same as backspace
-3	Ctrl + R	Search through previously used commands
1	Ctrl + C	Kill whatever you are running
4	Ctrl + D	Exit the current shell
7	Ctrl + Z	Put whatever you are running into a suspended background process. Type fg to restore it

1	Alt +	Move to the last line in the history
0	Alt + ?	Show current completion list
1	Alt + *	Insert all possible completions
0	Alt + /	Attempt to complete filename
1	Alt + .	Yank last argument to previous command

Thiago OP says: 4 years ago 6/17/2022 9:54 PM UTC Hi, I was searching for a way to restart a session when my pc enters sleep mode. ALT+SPACE+R. But you have to enable "System menu appears with ALT-SPACE" in Window-Behavior inside Putty configuration. This will permit new session with the combination + W. Found on https://rtomaszewski.blogspot.com/2013/05/putty-shortcut-and-tricks.html blog and I believe this deserve to be shared and millions of thanks for him that shared first. Reply 4 0
