This Genshin Impact guide contains information on how to defeat the boss, Pyro Hypostasis located in Inazuma. The Pyro Hypostasis is the Pyro version of the hypostases that exists throughout the overworld. In addition, this guide will also provide several tips and tricks that will help you take down the Pyro Hypostasis, as well as the rewards on offer.

The Pyro Hypostasis is unique to other hypostases as it has an elemental shield early into the fight that you have to extinguish before it shows its vulnerability. Keep this in mind before fighting it.

Pyro Hypostasis Location

The Pyro Hypostasis can be located in Kannazuka Island, Inazuma just at the top left of the Kujou Encampment. Make sure to activate the warp point near it for easier access.

How to Defeat Pyro Hypostasis

Just as mentioned above, Pyro Hypostasis has an elemental shield surrounding it at the first parts of the fight. The only way to diffuse this shield is by inflicting elemental reactions to it so make sure you bring a hydro character in this fight as they excel greatly here.

Phase One

Pyro Hypostasis' phase one is its most aggressive phase. It will literally run at you doing moves that are kind of hard to dodge if caught off guard. Make sure to keep your eye on it all the time and be ready to dodge if you don't have a shield.

The only way to remove this elemental shield is to inflict elemental reactions to it. Hydro will be the best element to attack with as it'll produce vaporize which will shave a chunk of its elemental shield.

There are several moves to keep an eye on:

Molten Fist
Explosion
Roll Attack

Molten Fist is when Pyro Hypostasis forms into a fist then slam the ground, sending shockwaves of lava moving outwards from the epicenter of the fist. You can dodge through the shockwaves in this move.

Roll Attack is as the name suggests, Pyro Hypostasis will be rolling towards you in an attempt to damage you. Dodge away at the right time to not get hit.

Explosion is a move that has a lot of start up. Make sure to keep an eye on when Pyro Hypostasis turns into a ball and starts glowing. That's your cue to get out of there before it blows. Make sure to move far enough as to not get hit by the explosion.

After you take down its elemental shield, Pyro Hypostasis' second phase comes into play.

Phase Two

Here's where Pyro Hypostasis becomes much more docile and very predictable. Its moves are nothing you haven't seen before, just make sure to still be alert and dodge them. In this phase, Pyro Hypostasis will try its best to get its elemental shield back so it can do its more explosive attacks.

Make sure to be ready to use your elemental skills on its tinders to make sure it doesn't come back to its much more aggressive state. We found that Mona and Kokomi are the best at this as their normal attacks already produce hydro effects which in turn vaporizes the tinder for a 1 hit KO.

The Pyro Hypostasis can be defeated in this phase, so as long as you don't let it get its elemental shield back, you should be fine. Rinse and repeat until you defeat it!
