Hi guys, can any of you help me with the ps remote play app on pc? I have ps4 on screen in another room and I wanted to play my games on laptop in my bed. So, I tried downloading ps remote play app but it's too laggy. I turned it down from high to standard fps, even resolution down to 540p, but it's still unplayable for me. I'm running both devices on the same 5ghz wifi router. So am I doing something wrong, or just the remote play ain't that good? I don't have any other screen/monitor in my bedroom, so that's why I can't plug it in there, but I though I can play it on my asus zenbook 😕 any ideas what to do?

Game streaming over wifi is always going to be a challenge. Depending on where your router and devices are located you may just have poor network coverage, hence the lag.

If you can hardware one or both devices to the router as a test that will tell you if it's a wifi issue or simply an issue with PS remote play being inherently laggy.

Make sure your phone and PS are both on 2.4Ghz or wired connections. 5Ghz was unplayable for me, 2.4 on both was pretty solid though.

Update for anybody looking for an answer: It's been quite some time and I also moved to a new flat, but my findings are as follows: - make sure your PS is on 2,4 Ghz wifi, trying it on 5 Ghz is unplayable

    - your laptop/pc can be on either of them, worked fine for me on both

    - if you want to use it, consider buying PS4 Pro or PS5, since only those two can do 1080p (mine PS4 Slim can do only 720p which is nice, but not ideal)

So in conclusion: PS remote play works, but is only playable if your PS4 is on 2,4 Ghz, then you can play even Rocket League (casually)
