bikebahn B I have 2 Marklin analog locomotives in HO scale and looking for track and a controller. Since I dont have much knowledge about the functionalities, will I be able to run both locomotives on the same track with a single controller. Just to clarify I want to control them together such that I would like both to run with the command of just 1 control. Whats the best type of controller and track I will need to buy for this basic setup. The members there enjoy helping people with those types of questions. 2) Realize that with analog you will NOT be able to control individual train speeds from one transformer. However, with the correct switching you will be able to run multiple trains on a single track/layout either set to automatic or manual controlling via a control box. 3) If you really want to get 'fancy' with a simple setup with Marklin, then all you have to do is run overhead wire (Catenary) on the track. One loco used the center third rail for current pickup and the second loco uses the overhead wire. In that dual transformer/pickup setup, each loco can be controlled independently....even without expensive switches. Good luck, Paul Insert Quotes Post Reply
