Quick & Easy Crochet Roses - Sewrella

Hey everybody!

Spring has not yet sprung but Valentine’s Day tomorrow has me thinking ALL about flowers – namely roses.

I also have a fun project coming up next week using these little floral accents – and that will be super easy and beginner friendly too, yay!

Speaking of beginner friendly, don’t worry about how complicated this shape looks. It’s 2 simple rows and a little sewing. Then you’re done.

Without further ado, here’s the quick video tutorial and pattern!

PATTERN

Materials:

-Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice yarn (or any worsted weight) (I used pink, dusty purple, and white)

-Size H 5mm crochet hook

-Tapestry needle

Ch any multiple of 10 +1. I chained 41 in the video above

Row 1: Sc in 2nd from hook, *Ch 2, sk 1, Sc in next, repeat from * across, Ch 2, turn

Row 2: *(In Ch space work 3 Dc, Ch 1, sl st), sl st in next Ch space, Ch 1, repeat until you’ve worked about 1/3 of the way down the Row, repeat sequence above substituting Hdc for Dc until you’ve worked all but 3 Ch spaces, Repeat sequence above substituting Sc for Dc until you’ve finished the Row, finish off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Starting with the Sc “petals”, roll up the rose keeping the bottom (where you see your foundation Ch) in a flat spiral, not a cone shape.

Thread your tapestry needle to sew through the foundation Ch spiral to secure. (See the video above for more specifics!)
