Niantic has announced new events for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

June Content Update: Pokémon GO Fest 2022, Season of GO, Mewtwo returns to raids, and more!

The Season of GO is here!

A new in-game Season is coming soon to Pokémon GO: the Season of GO! Celebrate all things Pokémon GO beginning on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time!

Pokémon GO Fest 2022

Are you ready for our global Pokémon GO Fest 2022 kick-off event? Join the fun on Saturday, June 4, 2022 and Sunday, June 5, 2022, and encounter the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokémon, for the very first time in Pokémon GO! Tickets are available now.

Earlier Candy XL Access

Starting with the Season of GO and continuing beyond, we are reducing the level at which Trainers can begin earning Candy XL. Now, all Trainers level 31 and above will be able to earn Candy XL!

The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids throughout June.

Five-Star Raids

The Legendary Pokémon Kyogre, Groudon, and Mewtwo will return to five-star raids this June!

Please note: Raid rotations all start and end at 10:00 a.m. local time on the dates listed unless otherwise noted.

Wednesday, June 1, 2022, to Tuesday, June 7, 2022

Kyogre

Tuesday, June 7, 2022, to Thursday, June 16, 2022

Groudon

Thursday, June 16, 2022, to Thursday, June 23, 2022

Mewtwo*

Thursday, June 23, 2022, to Friday July 1, 2022

Mewtwo** If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one! *Mewtwo caught during this period will know the Charged Attack Shadow Ball. **Mewtwo caught during this period will know the Charged Attack Psystrike.

Mega Raids

Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Steelix, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Blastoise, will appear in Mega Raids!

Raid Hours

Every Wednesday in June, a Raid Hour event will occur from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. The following Pokémon will be featured.

June 1: Kyogre June 8 : Groudon June 15: Groudon June 22: Mewtwo* June 29: Mewtwo** If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one! *Mewtwo caught during this period will know the Charged Attack Shadow Ball. **Mewtwo caught during this period will know the Charged Attack Psystrike.

June Research Breakthrough encounters

Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Friday, July 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).

Klink If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!

Pokémon Spotlight Hours

In the month of June, Pokémon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, and each will spotlight a different Pokémon and a special bonus!

June 7: Nosepass | 2× Candy for catching Pokémon June 14: Mantine | 2× Candy for transferring Pokémon June 21: Spinarak | 2× XP for evolving Pokémon June 28: ??? If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!
