We submitted the return and IRS rejected it. It said it was missing the 1095-c. Where do I go from here?

No, the IRS did not indicate you were missing the Form 1095-C. The 1095-C is not entered on a tax return.

The IRS would have said you are missing the Form 1095-A.

Did you have insurance in 2021 at any time through one of the state Marketplace Exchanges? If not -

Where do I add a 1095-C form?

The 1095-C is not added to your tax return. The 1095-C is issued by your employer.

Only the 1095-A from the Healthcare Marketplace is entered into the tax return.

Where do I add a 1095-C form?

Yes, we don't have to enter 1095-C , but?

it's confusing that TurboTax comes out with asking to enter 1095-A form and that my taxes will not be able to file if this form is not entered.

Why don't they fix this?

What should I do?

it says that I can continue doing my taxes, but I have to enter this form.

how get rid of this?

Help will be really appreciated.

Where do I add a 1095-C form?

Refer to the TurboTax help article How do I fix e-file reject F8962-070? for instructions to fix your return.

If you have a dependent on your tax return that had health insurance through the Marketplace, you will have to add their 1095-A.

If you or anyone else on your tax return wasn't covered through the Marketplace for health insurance, select What if I wasn't covered at all in 2024 through the Marketplace in the article.
