I’ll give one star as I can’t give less. Lack of customer support and full of fake and fraudulent advs. Sending messages to arrange a viewing is a complete waste of time since nobody will reply.

The reviews on here speak for themselves, quite low be honest. Just wanted to warn anyone looking at a property in Javea, re JAV62436, last time I had dealings with this guy the Hacienda and HMRC were seriously involved and he’s already knocked 80 grand off his price from 2025! Be careful!

One star only because you have to give at least one. They do not account for anything, they do not protect anyone’s “first rent” . Landlord can come in anytime and ask you money in advance , or cancel or breach any so called platform “rule” and you will not get anything back from idealista. Just forget it. Too little money to employ a lawyer and they know.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience, overly commercial and only for the agents who are very successful with finding properties to sell. They sell a contract that thay never let you slack, they always want more.👎👎👎👎Big time no way from me after 30 months…. Conned is how I feel.

Scaming service, hidden cost 10X higher

English below Anuncian un servicio de 30 días para que tu anuncio aparezca entre las primeras sugerencias como destacado, te cobran 80€. En el momento que te cobran los 80€ no hay ningún tipo de condicionamiento es una contratación mes a mes. 48hrs luego que ya has pagado, te comunican que lo único que has pagado es destacar el anuncio, pero no tienes ningún anuncio real. Y te comunican que debes pagar 300€ más para poder publicar un anuncio. Ante este intento malicioso de estafa me comunique con el servicio de atención al cliente, al preguntarles como iban a hacer para mantener mi anuncio destacado durante los 30 días que yo había contratado no tenían ninguna respuesta acorde, solo se escudaban en son nuestros servicios que se pagan por separado. Sin embargo al contratar el destacado por 80€ nunca te informan del coste adicional de 300€ que tendrás que contratar obligatoriamente para poder hacer validar tus 30 días como destacado... no solo eso, sino que ademas tienes que contratar un mínimo de 3 meses. ES DECIR TE ENGAÑAN DE MANERA FRAUDULENTA PARA PAGAR 80€ Y LUEGO OBLIGARTE A COMPRAR UN PRODUCTO QUE CUESTA 900€ MÁS! They advertise a 30-day service to make your advert appear among the top suggestions as a featured advert, charging you €80. When they charge you the €80, there are no conditions; it is a month-to-month contract.48 hours after you have paid, they inform you that all you have paid for is to feature the advert, but you do not have any actual advert. They then inform you that you must pay an additional €300 to be able to publish an advert. Faced with this malicious attempt at fraud, I contacted customer service and asked them how they were going to keep my advert featured for the 30 days I had contracted. They did not have a satisfactory answer, only hiding behind the fact that these are services that are paid for separately. However, when you sign up for the €80 feature, they never inform you of the additional €300 cost that you will have to pay in order to validate your 30 days as a featured advert... Not only that, but you also have to sign up for a minimum of 3 months. IN OTHER WORDS, THEY FRAUDULENTLY DECEIVE YOU INTO PAYING £80 AND THEN FORCE YOU TO PURCHASE A PRODUCT THAT COSTS AN ADDITIONAL £900!

Horrible

Horrible. They do not account for ANYTHING. you’re supposed to pay the first month of rent on the website to secure your room/house, but if the landlord then cancels your requests or starts asking for more money and you want to cancel, you do not get refunded!!! even though you have the payment to idealista, they will not refund you! my landlord asked for 400€ of management costs and i had to accept it because i couldn’t get my rent back anyway, so i was forced into it. when trying to ask idealista for support to understand if it could be a scammer, the only answer i got is that idealista is only a platform for landlords and they do not provide any information about this!!! disgusting.

Some of the staff in Idealista show…

Some of the staff in Idealista show care. We have been attended well by Estefania Pena. However the system is a money grabbing platform. It tries to squeeze as much as it can from you. The client who is the advertiser is not valued. The results are not good. It is okay for advertising low cost rentals. The return not good. Lots of enquiries for cheap rentals. It is about it. The staff make it hard. Everything costs extra and a huge hassle to manage their portal. They forget we are not all IT consultants. Estefania Pena has tired her best with us and been patient. When the Customer care team wish they suddenly remove your advert which you are paying for. Lots of false waste of time enquiries People just tick the box but not genuine We have had problems over the years. We have been advertising with them for many years and tried all their various packages. We have not even had our money back. When we reduced this month they were quite rude. They have become too big and too impersonal You ask to give date of experience but it has been throughout the years

They basically work with the scammers

Made a reservation through their platform, by paying the reservation fee they say you get back if a scam is involved. When the „agency“ then asked me to pay an obscene amount upfront, without even providing me with a lease contract and asking me to pay through a suspicious website, I backed out. When giving this information to idealista and informing them of the obvious scam, they refused to repay me the reservation fee, saying the „agency“ complied with their terms.

Scams aided by the platform

I hope to see the day when platforms become accountable for the content and people they promote. Got scammed through the platform and their reply was "it's a free market, our terms and conditions are clear..." bla bla bla. Avoid it at all costs! try other trusted means, even if you think you'll pay more.

Handle with caution!

I can't say the website is a scam. You just have to be extremely carefull! Some posts are indeed misleading, full of mistakes and I would say sometimes intentionaly fraudulent ( I tried to rent a 38m2 apartment and after 2 weeks of discussions and upon inspecting the paperwork, it turned out to be only 27m2). The agents are not very helpful and sometimes unresponsive. I guess it's not a website problem but just a reflection of the local culture, in which the customer does not come first. The general attitude is "if you like to buy or rent, go ahead, if you don't like the service you can go to hell".

Idealista took my money

Idealista has dishonest advertisers, and there’s an ulterior motive behind it. I just booked a room where it turned out you had to pay an extra month’s rent (no, not a deposit - they call it a membership fee, but it’s just as expensive as a month’s rent). When I confronted them, they refused to remove this charge, and I had to cancel my room while still paying over €100 to Idealista. This company does not have its customers’ best interests at heart - they take every opportunity they get to take your money. I ended up finding a much better room through Spotahome instead. This site can be trusted as they are more clear and transparent about what you’re expected to pay./ swedish student who just lost 100 euro for nothing

Scam!

Scam. The (fake) estate agents usually force you to move the conversation from Idealista to WhatsApp (this way it's harder to trace and harder to blame Idealista) and wants you to pay a deposit in advance without signing a contract. After you pay around 2000 Euro (1st month's rent, utilities, deposit, provision for the agent) they want you to send them your personal documents (Passport, ID, bank history) to check whether you are eligible. When I asked them to send a proposal of the contract first, they always stopped responding. This makes me think that the positive comments on this page are also fake. I don't trust Idealista at all. Beware of it.

Do not trust this website/agent the properties are not real, they have taken outside photos of my property and advertised it as a bank repossession!!They do not answer the phone and they have not responded to emails requesting they remove our property from their site! Nothing and it's still on there!! BE AWARE THIS SITE IS POSSIBLY A SCAM!

Apartment in the Puerto de Mazarrón....CON

Apartment advertised in the Puerto de Mazarrón for 500euros.Arranged a viewing, drove the 150 Kms and agreed to rent the apartment subject to the required financial checks. Supplied 12 months of bank ingressos to prove that we could make the payment six times over, only to be told today by the far from professional agent that the present owners want a family in the two bed apartment, not a couple??? Thought the offer was too good as today the apartment is advertised on their site as 999 euros per month. Very unprofessional company and appalling representative....stay away from them!!!
