Visiting or Shifting to Hogwarts

Whether or not you wish to shift, we have great news: The Hogwarts we have come to know and love through the Harry Potter films is one you can visit through its several filming locations.

This post does an excellent job at explaining where you can find the real-life counterparts of many iconic Hogwarts locations.

That’s right – you can easily frolic in Hogwarts’ corridors, sit in some classrooms, and even marvel at Draco’s iconic sitting tree (here) in real life, without needing to shift.

But if you aren’t able to travel right now to Harry Potter filming locations in Scotland or England, then the next best thing might be reality shifting with Hogwarts as your Desired Reality (or DR).

What is Reality Shifting?

While the concept of shifting realities is not new, it has gotten a lot more attention recently thanks to TikTok, where many users are freely sharing their experiences “shifting” and helping others do the same.

In brief, reality shifting is the practice of shifting your consciousness from your Current Reality (CR) to another reality, usually your Desired Reality (DR).

While many methods exist for reality shifting, commonly those who shift speak about a mixture of meditation, listening to subliminal playlists, and creating a detailed “script” of one’s desired reality which (while not mandatory) is said to ease the shifting process significantly.

Is Reality Shifting Real?

There is (understandably) a wide spectrum of opinions about whether or not shifting realities is actually possible.

On one end, skeptics think it is (at best) a vivid version of lucid dreaming, a form of dreaming wherein the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming, and therefore able to control their actions and behaviours as they would in real life.

On the other end, adamant supporters of reality shifting believe that when shifting realities, you are indeed shifting your consciousness to an alternate reality that exists for real, much as our current reality is real.

No matter where you lie on this spectrum, you’re likely still curious about the possibility of shifting realities, or (since you’ve clicked this article), the possibility of reality shifting to Hogwarts and the Harry Potter world in particular.

So, how does it work?

There are many reality shifting methods out there.

The Raven Method

One of the most popular reality shifting methods often referenced on TikTok is “The Raven Method”.

This method involves laying in a starfish position on one’s bed and counting to 100, usually with subliminals playing or with positive affirmations said between numbers.

The Alice in Wonderland Method

Another very popular reality shifting method is known as the Alice in Wonderland Method.

This method involves meditating and then laying on your back and imagining yourself sitting against a tree until someone from your Desired Reality runs past you, at which point you’re supposed to chase them until you “fall down the rabbit hole”.

You are then meant to find a key that will unlock the door to your DR.

The Pillow Method

The Pillow Method is another reality shifting method gaining popularity because of its relative simplicity.

This method involves writing down affirmations on a piece of paper, repeating them before bed and sleeping with the paper under your pillow.

The Elevator Method

Lastly, the Elevator Method has been another very popular shifting method.

This method involves imagining yourself in an elevator, with energy levels going higher and higher with each floor you pass. Once your energy gets to the level it needs to shift, the elevator doors will open up to your desired reality.

Shifting to Hogwarts Script Ideas

Now that you are familiar with some of the popular shifting methods you can use to get to Hogwarts, the next step is to create your script.

A script is said to be a way to write down concrete details about your desired reality. You can use visuals if you wish, write it down on paper, write it in your Notes app, or however you choose.

The main purpose however is to nail down aspects of your desired reality. Some script their desired Hogwarts House, skills, back story, love interests, etc.

Others also script practical matters like the passage of time in your DR vs your CR, the methods in which you return to your CR, the fact that you cannot die in your DR, etc.

Again, while scripting is not said to be mandatory for reality shifting to occur, most avid “shifters” use a script and recommend others do the same to ensure clarity, ease, and in some cases, even safety.

While every script is different and there is said to be no right or wrong way to create one, many users online have shared script ideas to help others with their shifting journey.
