Effect
Generations I to III
This move effect may be in need of research.Reason: Did the fix first appear in Pokémon Stadium (Japanese) or the international Pokémon Stadium? You can discuss this on the talk page.
Recover restores up to 50% of the user's maximum HP, rounded down, and has 20 PP.
In the Generation I core series only, Recover will fail if the difference between the user's maximum HP and current HP leaves a remainder of 255 when divided by 256 (such as 255 or 511). This was fixed in Pokémon Stadium and all future generations.
Generation IV
Recover's PP was reduced to 10.
Generation V to VII
Recover now restores 50% of the user's maximum HP, rounded up.
If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Recover, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.
