I have had success refilling the bottle by using the turkey injector.

I was wondering about refilling the swiffer bottle today and don't have time to do the injector all of the time. I learned about the boiling water trick and tried it out. I filled a coffee cup full of hot water (my water is very hot but you are supposed to microwave it for a minute or two) and stuck the end of the bottle with cap in the water, let it sit for about 15 secs and then with a towel it twisted right off. :) Woohoo.

These are really nice to use but refill bottles are almost highway robbery. This is an easy fix and only takes a few minutes and it will work with other Non-refillable bottles similar to this.

• Heat a cup of water in microwave approximately 2 minutes (close to a boil).
• Take empty Wet Jet bottle and place in cup of hot water - hold top under water for about 1 minute (longer sometimes).
• Remove bottle and immediately take oven mitt, pot holder or thick cloth and twist off cap (easy job).
• Use clippers (toenail best) or X-acto knife to clip/cut plastic tips on inside of cap. These are what make the lid hard to remove. Your cap is now ready to use.
• Refill your bottle with cleaner of your choice. Some people use white vinegar but others use a mild household cleaner or floor cleaner (that does not have to be rinsed).
• Amount to use? Personal preference but usually about 1/4 cup vinegar/cleaner and then fill the bottle with water.

I would suggest you try different cleaners and maybe even milder solutions until you find what works best for you.
