If you wish to turn off/remove the lock screen passcode, follow the steps below:

1. Open iPhone Settings.
2. Tap Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode.
3. Enter your current iPhone passcode to proceed.
4. Tap Turn Passcode Off.
5. Enter the passcode to turn it off.

Now, if you have forgotten your current passcode, you will have to put your iPhone in Recovery Mode. Then connect to a Mac or PC and follow the steps shown here.
