Report: Billy Mays Bumped Head On US Airways Flight - Travel Weekly

Famous TV pitchman Billy Mays, found dead in his Florida home on Sunday, bumped his head during a hard landing on a US Airways flight on Saturday night, according to published reports.
The flight from Philadelphia landed hard at Tampa International Airport after the front tire under the nose of the plane blew out.
After the flight, Mays told Tampa's Fox TV affiliate, "All of a sudden as we hit, you know, it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."
Reportedly, Mays' wife, Deborah, said Mays wasn't feeling well before he went to bed. She found him unresponsive on Sunday morning.
US Airways spokesman Jim Olson told CNN that there were no reported passenger injuries, but that the airline would cooperate with authorities in an investigation.
On Sunday, Tampa Police Department spokeswoman Laura McElroy said trying to link the hard landing and Mays' death was "pure speculation." An autopsy is scheduled to be completed on Monday, according to published reports.
Mays, 50, was known for his well-trimmed beard and loud but gregarious sales pitch. Mays pitched products such as OxiClean, Mighty Putty and Orange Glo floor cleaner.
