Donating plasma is a simple and rewarding way to help save lives. Here’s what you need to know:First-time donors

Plasma Donor Eligibility
Before you donate, it’s important to know if you meet the eligibility criteria. Here’s what we look for in potential donors:Age
Must be between 18 and 70 years old.
Weight Requirement
Over 110 pounds, under 400 pounds.
Health
Must pass medical screening and have suitable health history.
Valid ID & Residency

What To Bring
To make the donation process as smooth as possible, be sure to bring the following items with you:Government ID
A valid photo ID, like a driver’s license or passport.
Proof of Address
A document such as a utility bill or lease confirming your residency (New Donors Only).
Proof of Social Security Number
This is used for identification (New Donors Only).
Leisure Items
Bring books, tablets, or headphones to stay comfortable during your donation. Enjoy free Wi-Fi and available TVs for entertainment!
How Long Does it Take to Donate Plasma?
The total time it takes to donate plasma varies due to many factors. First visit – around 2 hours:
Your first visit will take longer than return visits because of the initial donor onboarding process. This process includes a video, medical history review, medical exam, and a brief health questionnaire. New Donors →
Return visits
Your return visits will take a little over an hour and will not include the onboarding video and initial health exam. Return Donors →

After Donation After Donating Plasma
Wait 2 days to donate plasma again.
Continue to drink plenty of water.
Continue to eat foods rich in protein and iron.
Avoid smoking for 30 minutes and alcohol for 4 hours after donation.
Avoid strenuous exercise immediately after donating.
Track PaymentsHow to Track Payments After Donating Plasma:
- Payments after plasma donations are issued on a prepaid debit card within 24 hours of your donation.

Yes. All equipment is sterile and single-use. Our staff are trained to ensure donor safety.
How often can I donate plasma?
Up to twice in a 7-day period, with at least 2 days between donations.
What if I’ve been deferred before?
Deferral reasons vary, but it is best to speak with a staff member at your local center if you have any concerns. Contact your local center for guidance.
How do I know if I’m eligible today?
Please speak with a donor advocate by calling your local donation center to confirm eligibility.
