NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Tennessee State Representative William Lamberth is rolling out the legislative welcome mat for political commentator Tomi Lahren.
Lahren, who now calls herself a Tennessean, is a conservative commentator and former television host who has worked for FOX News and FOX Nation. Rep. Lamberth has filed HJR0351 in an effort to welcome Lahren, the resolution calling her an "astute and highly popular American conservative political commentator and host."

The resolution also cites her work for the Great America Alliance, an advocacy organization which supports former President Donald Trump.
As he has with other resolutions, Rep. Lamberth's resolution also points to the draw to Tennessee among "intelligent conservatives." The resolution states "like many intelligent conservatives, Tomi Lahren has relocated from the Left Coast to the State of Tennessee, which will happily reap the positive economic benefits resulting from the depopulation of our so-called elite liberal cities; and WHEREAS, California's loss is most certainly Tennessee's gain as Ms. Lahren will not only contribute significantly to our economy but also add to our already burgeoning pool of creative talent."

The Sumner County Republican representing District 44 took a similar tone with HJR350, a resolution which welcomed Trump supporter and conservative commentator Candace Owens on her move to Nashville. Lahren joins Owens and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, who has filmed his Huckabee show in Sumner County.
The resolution is not coming without critics following a decision in the Tennessee House to send a resolution honoring a gay artist back to committee rather than pass the resolution. State Rep. Jeremy Faison motioned to send a resolution honoring country musician TJ Osborne of the band Brothers Osborne for his contributions to the state and coming out as the first openly gay country musician.
