Restocked & Reloaded: NVIDIA Promotes Availability Of The GeForce ...

NVIDIA introduced the GeForce RTX 30 series in September 2020, starting with the RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and the RTX 3090. Subsequently, the company released the likes of the RTX 3060 Ti, culminating in last month's RTX 3090 Ti. While there are now ten RTX 30 series cards, availability has remained poor.

NVIDIA's 'Restocked & Reloaded' campaign seeks to remind gamers that this is no longer the case, Founders Edition cards excluded. Ironically, many examples that NVIDIA advertises are out of stock in the US, such as custom RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 cards. The same is not always the case in other markets, such as the UK, but availability remains tight for the most part.

Worse still, the 'Restocked & Reloaded' campaign has coincided with an uplift in prices across the RTX 30 range. Unsurprisingly, NVIDIA has next-generation graphics cards in the pipeline, thought to be based on its Lovelace architecture. It remains to be seen whether AMD will follow NVIDIA's lead, although marketing 18-month old graphics card as being 'now available' is certainly an interesting strategy.
