Introduction

Ric Flair is an American professional wrestling manager and retired wrestler with an estimated net worth of $500 Thousand.

Early Life

Ricard Fliehr, better known as Ric Flair, was born on the 25th of February 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Flair was adopted, and shortly after the adoption, the family settled in Edina, Minnesota, where young Flair lived throughout his childhood. He attended Wayland Academy, participating in track, football, and wrestling.

Wrestling Career

Ric Flair debuted professionally with the American Wrestling Association in 1972 against George “Scrape Iron” Gadaski. Between 1972 and 1974, he made a name for himself by fighting Dusty Rhodes, Andre the Giant, Larry Henning, and Chris Taylor.

Flair entered World Championship Wrestling in 1974, but his career nearly ended a year later when he was in a plane crash. Fortunately, he was able to return to the ring thanks to rigorous physical therapy and a change in his wrestling technique.

Due to his tenacity, he was able to take on some of the richest wrestlers in the world once his injuries healed.

A Wrestling Legend

After defeating Bobo Brazil to win his first NWA United States Heavyweight Championship, Flair earned the World Tag Team Championship with Greg Valentine.

By 1981, he’d established himself as one of wrestling’s biggest stars, winning the World Heavyweight Championship eight more times.

A decade later, he was crowned the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, while also being recognized as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

In August 1991, Flair signed with the World Wrestling Federation and then repeatedly issued challenges to Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper.

His first televised win took place on episode 29 of Wrestling Challenge, and in November, he helped The Undertaker defeat Hogan.

The following year, he won the Royal Rumble before being challenged by Randy Savage for the WWF Championship during WrestleMania VIII.
