Description[edit | edit source]

Rockdale County was named after the Rockdale Baptist Church, and in common with the church, after the granite strata that rests under the county’s red clay topsoil. The county is located in the north-central area of the state.[2][3][4]

County Courthouse[edit | edit source]

Rockdale County Courthouse 922 Court Street North East Conyers, GA 30207-4540 Phone: 770-929-4021 Rockdale County Website Probate Court has marriage and probate records from 1870 and death records from 1930. Clerk Superior Court has land, divorce and court records.[5]
