Elton's real name

If anyone ever says the name 'Elton', Elton John instantly springs to mind.

In fact, his full name is Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE, literally one of the coolest in the business.

However, this may come as a shock but that's not his birth name.

He was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight on March, 25, 1947 in Pinner, Middlesex.

Elton John's ex-wife is Renate Blauel, is from Munich Germany and is often described as a sound technician.

The pair met in 1983 while the star was finishing his Too Low for Zero album and they quickly became close friends.

‌

Elton John popped the question to Blauel after they travelled on the Australian leg of his Too Low for Zero tour.

The couple wed on Valentine's Day 1984 in St. Mark's Church the area of Darling Point in Sydney, Australia, and were married for four years.

The pair divorced in 1988 and soon after Elton John came out as gay.

He's now happily married to the Canadian film producer David Furnish.

Elton's net worth

As one of the best-selling artists in the world having sold over 300 million records during his hugely successful career it's no surprise Elton is worth a lot of cash.
