Although it only lasted two seasons on FOX, Ryan Murphy's colorful and campy AF horror-comedy series Scream Queens has left a lasting impact on many fans (and on meme culture). But if 2020 has proven anything to us, it's that you should always expect the unexpected. And you know what we didn't expect to wake up to this morning? News of Scream Queens coming back for a third season!!

Yup! According to a screenshot from Instagram posted by Twitter user @popligion, the Emmy-winning writer and producer responded to a comment from a fan about the possibility of a third season of the cult-favorite series, saying simply "Working on that!"

Following a group of hilariously unaware and uber-privileged sorority sisters who are trying to figure out who is behind killings linked to the murderous Red Devil mascot, Scream Queens originally premiered in 2015 and ran two seasons before being canceled by FOX in 2017. The show also had a stellar lineup of actors that included Emma Roberts, Ariana Grande, Billie Lourd, Abigail Breslin, Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, Jamie Lee Curtis, Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Niecy Nash, and John Stamos.
