Community Labs began with a simple mission in 2020:  Keep San Antonio Open!  We devised a large-scale PCR COVID-19 screening service that grew to over 300 locations across San Antonio, Bexar County, and Laredo.  As a non-profit, we were able to provide this service free to the public.  Many businesses, schools, and people relied on our screening test and sub 24hr turnaround of results to keep their operations open and running smoothly during a time of great uncertainty.  With the end of the pandemic, Community Labs closed COVID related operations but kept an eye towards helping the community in other ways.We are excited to announce our next phase. Community Labs will be providing A1C Diabetes screening free to the public. We'll utilize the accurate and fast A1C tests that deliver results within 5 minutes.  Our intention is to provide the public with specific awareness of their A1C score and follow up with referrals to programs and healthcare providers who can help design a plan to reduce risks in the future.  Our new mission will be to make San Antonio a healthier city!  Following two very successful pilots at the start of 2025, we are ready to expand our screening.
