I dont mean grinding and dying alot and coming back but the prologue is just too long and you cant skip its not like dark souls. Later on you can simply switch difficulty back to Normal or whatever you have set it currently, there is no penalty for doing so. Some other files have to be changed, too. Apart from that, I don't see why playing a section for a second time which is apparently the second time at all is such a hassle. Since you brought up Dark Souls: My experience with DS2 SOTFS was that repeatedly doing the same section over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again is actually a core mechanic of the game, if not the whole series (although I'm aware that this specific game is infamous for its terrible world design which adds unnecessary difficulty tediousness).In addition to this: Changing difficulty to Easy should give you a slight decrease in time needed for finishing the tutorial as you can more or less blindly run through enemy hordes without risking to get any damage as all. Remember to spam dodge.

What pretentious art garbage did the developer think he was making by not allowing you to save? ♥♥♥♥ this game, if it wasnt gifted to me I would have refunded it a year ago after going through this garbage intro five times before. Why am I replaying it again? I honestly don't know why I keep trying with this game. Everybody says it is great but the intro is so draining and punishing. Turn it down to easy, activate auto chips, game plays itself. You can literally NOT lose that way.The game does everything for you. But the intro is really not that hard, especially on normal. Learn how to dodge and how to quick heal. There is nothing more to it.Dont play the intro on hard or very hard. I am a 40 year old guy, my reflexes in these kind of games are terrible by now and i did the beginning sequence on my first try on Normal. Its REALLY not that difficult.The dodge button makes you literally invincible as long as you time it right.Also, DONT play this game with mouse + keyboard, thats just punishing yourself. Use a gamepad.Apart from that, its my GOTY 2017 and one of the best games i played the last 10 years or so. And i played quiet a few. But you are of course welcome to your own opinion. I appreciate it and all, but I did exactly this every time I tried and at some point before I beat the intro I die and have to start over at the begining again. I can recite every line up to the first boss from memory for a year now. it's bad game design from a bloated ego and it kills any drive I have for playing this game. Well, you are free to download the save game i linked 1 post above yours, it starts you right after that boss fight. After that the game goes semi open world with save stations you can access in every area and regular zones where you can save whenever you want.Only the first part of the game is that heavily scripted and restricted. Maybe try the rest of the game to see if its more to your liking? I honestly think you miss out on something great but its of course your own decision.
