Wtf is going on?
I dropped from +1 to -1.60 fence rep, never kill, shoot to any scavs, it looks like i got - just by searching dead scavs close to the christmass tree.
Not taking any stuff just by searching...
Is it bugged or what ?
Remove this crap completlty, playing as a scav is now boring as hell...
Easy money but booooring...

Sounds like you did kill Santa.
And why is playing as scav boring now? Because you can't kill anymore on sight? Well, thats the whole deal about it. And thats how it was planned from the start.

i dont like it either.. my problem is i cant really make out who is pmc or scav. , so im killing the odd scavv, then i got to fight of the al scavs or just try and run past them

I have no issue about the Karma system, but am ticked about the Santa. I worked hard to gain fence rep and then Santa is added. I didn't know about the penalty killing Santa. Killed him at night when I thought he was a player. My bad. But then in Factory, Santa started shooting at me, so I fired back and killed him. Now I am -.5 with 23 min between Scav runs. Very harsh penalty for something added quickly. So just don't play game as much since I have to wait 23 min between runs.

Agreed, there's something wrong with the karma system. Going in and not killing anyone, simply looting and getting out of raid with no having a run through leads to worsening karma. System is broken as duck which is why I now kill on sight again.

Yeah it's very difficult to tell if it's a PMC or scav player. Iv had at least 2 out of 3 runs on lighthouse where players camp the scav extract at landslide and I can never tell if they are PMC or scav before it's too late.
And everytime I'm sure I just attacked a PMC it turns out it was a player scav..

I got minus karma for killing Santa as an PMC. They should just remove the whole player scav system. I can't find anything worth while with any of the systems involved with the player scavs.
You work hard to get Fence reputation and then loose it all when you're not reading every post and update BSG makes to the game. Can't fight anyone or defend yourself because of the possibility to loose Fence karma. And then there's the spawns at 30-38 minute mark. Scavs get the chance to kill PMC's without any risk. I loved the 18 minute mark spawns, but now were back with the early bs spawns.
Then even if you can achieve max Fence rep, it's completely pointless as the rewards are lame. Bloat feature, typical mmo design to make your game seem like it has more content that it really has.
It's all so boring and immersion breaking. Thanks God I don't play scav's that often. But pls. BSG, ether make them scavs make any sense or just remove that shait gameplay completely and concentrate on fixing the sounds or something.

Santa's penalty is too high. It's good it is there, noone should kill Santa, but Santa is not a Tank, he's not glowing or shouting smth which only he could, to be well-distinguishable. I think I noticed a stacking penalty. The first time i killed him as PMC i think i got -0.5 Karma. (I didn't check, since I was frustrated, he was just running around a corner... and I'm playing solo, so 'everyone' is my enemy, I can't wait at any time a combat starts a couple seconds, just because it could be the 1 of 100 people I should not shoot. If that's the plan of BSG i can quit EFT right away) The second time as scav I got -1.0. Again he was behaving weirdly, running around, then suddently sneaking. Then he was fighting another scav bot (!) and killed a PMC afterwards. I was sure it was a player. I observed, I thought and took a decision. I can take a wrong one, that's fine. but what did it mean? 100 Scav runs, to make up for that??? That's insane. Also @Biala_Mewa there are many maybe-bugs for Scav Karma, could you, or someone who knows, answer if its on purpose or a bug: 1) When I, as Scav, killed a PMC that did not kill a Scav yet... I won't get good Karma. 2) When I as Scav killed 2 PMC or more that all killed Scavs,... I only got +0.03 good Karma. 3) When I as Scav killed another GOOD SCAV, that just killed a Traitor Scav.... I got +0.03 good Karma. 4) When I as Scav got shot by another not-yet-traitor-Scav, I only get no change in Karma, and NOT the logical good Karma for killing a Traitor. But THEN others will kill me (I think for good Karma, even though I was just killing one of self-defense) 5) When I as Scav get shot at, but not hit yet and I react in killing the shooting Scav-player... I get nevative Karma. (wtf?) That were my observations. Which of those are a bug and which intended? I'd much appreciate clarification 
To sum my opinion: I feel heavily betrayed. I got A) denied a lot of good Karma so far, because either the System ... yea is not well thought through, or its buggy - or both. And on the other side B) get f****** in the a** without lube and protection by quickly and temporaryadded events(= there's no time to adapt), and also changes in the overall function of the Scav-Karma system (like if you got shot at, and kill the attacking Scav you at least get good Karma - it was like that before 12.12) Anyway thanks for time and I'm really appreciating any input and / or answers from people that -really know- the answers. cheers

Honestly I like the karma system but the issue is that a lot of new players to Escape from Tarkov have no idea what it is, the only way they can figure that out is via youtubers, or mainly by experimenting. Literally at the beginning of wipe all player scavs just started shooting at one another. Later on users started to understand the consequences, you kill the same person in the same faction you lose karma but then when Santa came out oh god... It wasn't just confusing for new players but for the experienced ones too. I've killed Santa once mainly by mistake, as they looked like a PMC, but then out on a raid during night I saw them running towards me which I started to panic, and killed them. I wish there could be sound cues when he is nearby, and a explanation about the karma system for new players, have fence give quests as a scav, or something.

by the time i would be able to get enough positive scav karma to make it worth it i will have stopped using my scav entirely especially since you have made me so worried to fire my gun as to not get bad karma i die from pmc's on a regular basis, i don't see the point of keeping others alive anymore.

Something is wrong. I killed a PMC as a Scav the other day, extracted and I only got the .01 for the extract. Last wipe I always received positive karma for killing PMC's with my Scav.

the only thing about max fence rep that interest me is that you can stand next to bosses... sometimes they wipe out the whole map.. imagine the loot you can collect of dead pmcs

i am also experiencing this glitch, i never killed santa and only had 1 altercation with a scav that killed my buddy and i killed him...which did not lower my karma at all for days after that. but now since the bug from a few days back that was supposedly fixed, i literally lose .01 karma every time i do a scav, even with no interaction whatsoever. please help

What about rogues insta aggro for the 119th raid in a row? havnt shot one in 120 raids and still getting insta aggro'ed
