"It’s a tiny creature that feels threatened and protects itself with a venomous stinger." Here, we can see the tendency among some Scorps to lash out rather than let themselves be vulnerable. They can cause more harm than they think, but they're usually acting out of a desire for self-preservation and defense rather than malevolence.2 of 4 The Serpent"This is a Scorpio who has learned to be charming (and even manipulative) to keep danger away," Edut says. (As anyone who has flirted with a Scorpio knows, they definitely know how to turn on the charm.) The serpent also reflects the versatility and love of change that we associate with this sign, as it's always shedding its skin, Edut adds.3 of 4 The EagleWe have this iteration to thank for that signature intense gaze that so many Scorpios possess. "Loyal and visionary, these Scorpios make for trustworthy mates and are always rising above to see the big picture," Edut says, with the caveat that, even at their most noble, eagles are still swift predators. They're great to have on your side, but be sure to treat them well — "they make formidable enemies," she says.4 of 4 The PhoenixAnd here we have the final and "most evolved" form of Scorpio. Edut says most Scorps only reach this stage of their sign after a momentous life shift or an immense personal loss. In the same way that a phoenix is reborn from ash, so, too, are these Scorpios. "These are the most magical, alchemical, and resourceful Scorpios who have a gift for making something out of nothing," she says.
