Understanding Facial Proportions:

Basic Guidelines:

  1. The eyes are halfway between the top of the head and the chin.
  2. The bottom of the nose is halfway between the eyes and the chin
  3. The mouth rests on the line halfway between the nose and the chin
  4. The face is 5 eyes wide
  5. The outer corners of the mouth line up with center of the eyes
  6. The bottom of the ears line up with the bottom of the nose
