Everything you need for the 2021 SEC Tournament.

The regular season has come to a close in the SEC. Up next is the 2021 SEC Tournament, which begins Wednesday, March 10 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Alabama won the regular-season crown and will come into the Music City as the No. 1 overall seed. The Tide haven’t won a conference tournament since 1991, and they hadn’t won a league regular-season title since 2002 before this season.

The Kentucky Wildcats enter the league tournament at 9-15 as the No. 8 seed. Their first game comes Thursday at 1 pm ET vs. Mississippi State on the SEC Network.

If the Cats are going to make the NCAA Tournament, their only path to doing so is to win four games in four days at Bridgestone Arena. If they get by the Bulldogs, Alabama will await them in Friday’s action. The Tide swept the regular-season series.

As of now, six SEC teams are projected to make the 2021 NCAA Tournament, while Ole Miss is in position to get in with a strong showing in Nashville. Every other SEC team is in a position where they must win the SEC Tournament to get into the Big Dance.

While the Wildcats will enter the league tournament as a significant underdog, they do claim the most tournament titles of any SEC schools, and by a wide margin at that.

Kentucky has laid claim to 31(!) league titles, the last being in 2018.

Ironically, the next closest is Alabama...at six titles. It feels appropriate that the Tide may have to beat Kentucky to claim its seventh title in one of the best seasons the program has ever enjoyed, and for a third time at that.

As usual, the SEC Championship Game will take place on Selection Sunday just hours before the official field of 68 is announced for the NCAA Tournament.

Now, here is what you need to know about the 2021 SEC Tournament in Nashville.
